2 Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer!	2 Ascolta, o Dio, il mio clamore, da retta alla mia preghiera.
3 From the brink of Sheol I call; my heart grows faint. Raise me up, set me on a rock,	3 Dai confini della terra a te grido mentre languisce il mio cuore. Nella fortezza troppo alta per me conducimi.
4 for you are my refuge, a tower of strength against the foe.	4 Perché fosti un rifugio per me, torre munita di fronte al nemico.
5 Then I will ever dwell in your tent, take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah	5 Possa io abitare nella tua tenda in eterno, riparare all’ombra delle tue ali.
6 O God, when you accept my vows and hear the plea of those who revere your name in prayer:	6 Poiché tu, o Dio, hai esaudito i miei voti; mi hai dato il possesso di coloro che temono il tuo nome.
7 "Add to the days of the king's life; may his years be many generations;	7 Giorni su giorni accresci al re, i suoi anni fa’ pari a generazione e generazione.
8 May he reign before God forever; may your love and fidelity preserve him"--	8 Sieda in eterno al cospetto di Dio; ordina che lo proteggano Grazia e Verità.
9 Then I will sing your name forever, fulfill my vows day after day.	9 Così inneggerò al tuo nome per sempre, sciogliendo i miei voti giorno per giorno!
