2 The LORD answer you in time of distress; the name of the God of Jacob defend you!	2 Am Tag der Not erhöre dich der Herr, der Name des Gottes Jakobs schütze dich!
3 May God send you help from the temple, from Zion be your support.	3 Er sende dir Hilfe vom Heiligtum und sei dir Stütze von Sion aus!
4 May God remember your every offering, graciously accept your holocaust, Selah	4 Er gedenke all deiner Gaben, dein Opfer möge ihm wohlgefallen! [Zwischenspiel]
5 Grant what is in your heart, fulfill your every plan.	5 Er gebe dir nach deines Herzens Wunsch, all deine Pläne erfülle er!
6 May we shout for joy at your victory, raise the banners in the name of our God. The LORD grant your every prayer!	6 Dann wollen wir jubeln über deinen Sieg, uns im Namen unseres Gottes um das Banner scharen. Der Herr erfülle dir jegliche Bitte!
7 Now I know victory is given to the anointed of the LORD. God will answer him from the holy heavens with a strong arm that brings victory.	7 Schon weiß ich: Der Herr hilft seinem Gesalbten, erhört ihn von seinem heiligen Himmel her durch die machtvolle Hilfe seiner Rechten.
8 Some rely on chariots, others on horses, but we on the name of the LORD our God.	8 Die anderen vertrauen auf Wagen und Rosse, wir aber rufen den Namen des Herrn, unseres Gottes, an.
9 They collapse and fall, but we stand strong and firm.	9 Jene brechen zusammen und stürzen, doch wir stehen aufrecht und halten stand.
10 LORD, grant victory to the king; answer when we call upon you.	10 Herr, hilf dem König! Erhöre uns am Tag, da wir rufen!
