¹ Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:	¹ Da antwortete Bildad, der Schuchit, und sprach:
² Dominion and awesomeness are his who brings about harmony in his heavens.	² "Herrschaft und Schrecken sind bei ihm, der Ordnung schafft in seinen Höhen.
³ Is there any numbering of his troops? Yet to which of them does not his light extend?	³ Kann man seine Scharen zählen, und über wem erhebt sich nicht sein Licht?
⁴ How can a man be just in God's sight, or how can any woman's child be innocent?	⁴ Wie könnte da ein Mensch im Recht sein gegenüber Gott, wie wäre rein der Weibgeborene?
⁵ Behold, even the moon is not bright and the stars are not clear in his sight.	⁵ Sieh, selbst der Mond, er strahlt nicht hell, die Sterne sind nicht rein vor seinen Augen.
⁶ How much less man, who is but a maggot, the son of man, who is only a worm?	⁶ Nun gar der Mensch, die Made! Das Menschenkind, der Wurm!"
