1 Sul Maeleth: salmo di intelligenza di Davidde. Disse lo insensato in cuor suo: Iddio non è.	1 when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.
2 Si sono corrotti, e sono divenuti abbominevoli nelle iniquità, non havvi chi faccia il bene.	2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp rasor, working deceitfully.
3 Dio gettò lo sguardo dal cielo sopra i figliuoli degli uomini per vedere se siavi chi abbia intelletto, o chi cerchi Dio.	3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
4 Tutti son usciti di strada, son divenuti egualmente inutili: non havvi chi faccia il bene, non ve n'ha nemmen uno.	4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5 Non se n' avvedrann' eglino tutti coloro, che fan loro mestiero delle iniquità, che divorano il popol mio, como un pezzo di pane?	5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
6 Non hanno invocato Dio: ivi tremaron di paura; ove non era timore. Imperocché Dio ha spezzate le ossa di coloro, che godon la grazia degli uomini: son rimasi svergognati, perché Dio gli ha dispregiati.	6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
7 Chi darà di Sionne la salute di Israele? Quando Dio libererà il popol suo dalla schiavitù, esulterà Giacobbe, e rallegrerassi Israele.	7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
	8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
	9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
