1 L'anno ventesimo settimo di Geroboam re d'Israele, regnò Azaria figliuolo di Amasia re di Giuda.	1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam, the king of Israel: Azariah, the son of Amaziah, reigned as king of Judah.
2 Egli avea sedici anni quando cominciò a regnare, e cinquantadue anni regnò in Gerusalemme: sua madre ebbe nome Jechelia, ed ella era di Gerusalemme.	2 He was sixteen years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
3 Ed egli fece quello, che era grato al Signore, imitando in tutto, e per tutto Amasia suo padre.	3 And he did what was pleasing before the Lord, in accord with all that his father, Amaziah, did.
4 Egli però non demolì i luoghi eccelsi: il popolo sacrificava tutt ora, e bruciava incenso ne luoghi eccelsi.	4 Yet truly, he did not demolish the high places. And still the people were sacrificing, and burning incense, in the high places.
5 E il Signore percosse il re, ed egli fu lebbroso fino al punto di sua morte: ed egli viveva a parte in una casa fuori di mano; e Joatham figliuolo del re governava la corte, e rendeva giustizia al popolo del paese.	5 Now the Lord struck the king, and he became a leper, even until the day of his death. And he was living in a separate house by himself. And truly, Jotham, the son of the king, governed the palace, and he judged the people of the land.
6 Il rimanente poi delle azioni di Azaria, e tutto quello, che egli operò, non è egli scritto nel diario de' fatti dei re di Giuda?	6 Now the rest of the words of Azariah, and all that he did, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah?
7 E Azaria si addormentò co' padri suoi, e lo seppellirono co' suoi maggiori nella città di Davidde, e Joatham suo figliuolo gli succedette nel regno.	7 And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his ancestors in the city of David. And Jotham, his son, reigned in his place.
8 L'anno trentesimo ottavo di Azaria re di Giuda regnò Zacharia figliuolo di Geroboam sopra Israele in Samaria per sei mesi:	8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah, the king of Judah: Zechariah, the son of Jeroboam, reigned over Israel, in Samaria, for six months.
9 Ed ei fece il male nel cospetto del Signore, come avean fatto i padri suoi: egli non si allontanò dai peccati di Geroboam figliuolo di Nabath, il quale indusse Israele a peccare.	9 And he did what is evil before the Lord, just as his fathers had done. He did not withdraw from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
10 E Sellum figliuolo di Jabes ordì una congiura contro di lui: e lo assalì alla scoperta, e lo uccise, e regnò in sua vece.	10 Then Shallum, the son of Jabesh, conspired against him. And he struck him openly, and killed him. And he reigned in his place.
11 Il resto poi delle azioni di Zacharia non son elleno scritte nel diario de' fatti dei re d'Israele?	11 Now the rest of the words of Zechariah, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
12 Questo è quello, che il Signore avea predetto a Jehu, quando disse: I tuoi figliuoli sederanno sul trono d'Israele fino alla quarta generazione. E così avvenne.	12 This was the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Jehu, saying: “Your sons, even to the fourth generation, shall sit upon the throne of Israel.” And so it happened.
13 Sellum figliuolo di Jabes principiò a regnare l'anno trigesimo nono di Azaria re di Giuda: e regnò un mese in Samaria.	13 Shallum, the son of Jabesh, reigned in the thirty-ninth year of Azariah, the king of Judah. And he reigned for one month, in Samaria.
14 Perocché Manahem figliuolo di Gadi parti da Thersa: e si portò a Samaria, e ferì Sellum figliuolo di Jabes in Samaria; e lo uccise, e regnò in suo luogo.	14 And Menahem, the son of Gadi, ascended from Tirzah. And he went into Samaria, and he struck Shallum, the son of Jabesh, in Samaria. And he killed him, and reigned in his place.
15 Il resto poi delle azioni di Sellum, e la congiura ordita con frode da lui. Queste cose non son elleno scritte nel diario de' fatti dei re d'Israele?	15 Now the rest of the words of Shallum, and his conspiracy, by which he carried out treachery, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
16 Allora fu che Manahem espugno Thapsa, e uccise tutti i suoi abitanti, e devastò tutti i suoi confini fino da Thersa, perchè non avean voluto aprir gli le porte; e tutte le donne gravide mise a morte, facendole sparare.	16 Then Menahem struck Tirzah, and all who were in it, and its borders around Tirzah. For they were not willing to open to him. And he killed all of its pregnant women, and he tore them open.
17 L'anno trentesimo nono di Azaria re di Giuda, regnò Manahem figliuolo di Gadi sopra Israele in Samaria per dieci anni.	17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah, the king of Judah: Menahem, son of Gadi, reigned over Israel for ten years, in Samaria.
18 Ed ei fece il male nel cospetto del Signore: non si allontanò dai peccati di Geroboam figliuolo di Nabath, il quale indusse Israele a peccare fino che visse.	18 And he did what was evil before the Lord. He did not withdraw from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin, during all his days.
19 Phul re degli Assiri venne nel paese, e Manahem diede a Phul mille talenti d'argento, perchè gli desse soccorso, e gli assicurasse il regno.	19 Then Pul, the king of the Assyrians, came into the land. And Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, so that he would be a help to him, and so that he might strengthen his kingdom.
20 E Manahem fece pagare questo argento dai potenti, e facoltosi d'Israele a ragione di cinquanta sicli d'argento per testa, per darlo al re degli Assiri. E il re degli Assiri se n'andò, e non si fermò nel paese.	20 And Menahem proclaimed a tax upon Israel, on all who were powerful and wealthy, so that each one would give to the king of the Assyrians fifty shekels of silver. Then the king of the Assyrians turned back, and he did not remain in the land.

22 E Manahem si addormentò co' padri suoi: e gli succedette nel regno Phaceia suo figliuolo.	22 And Menahem slept with his fathers. And Pekahiah, his son, reigned in his place.
23 L'anno cinquatesimo di Azaria re di Giuda, regnò Phaceia figliuolo di Manahem sopra Israele in Samaria per due anni:	23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah, the king of Judah: Pekahiah, the son of Menahem, reigned over Israel, in Samaria, for two years.
24 E fece il male nel cospetto del Signore: non si allontanò dai peccati di Geroboam figliuolo di Nabath, il quale indusse Israele a peccare.	24 And he did what was evil before the Lord. He did not withdraw from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
25 E ordì congiura contro di lui Phacee figliuolo di Romelia, suo capitano, e lo assalì in Samaria nella torre della casa reale vicino ad Argob, e ad Arie, avendo seco cinquanta uomini di Galaad, e lo uccise, e gli succedette nel regno.	25 Then Pekah, the son of Remaliah, his commander, conspired against him. And he struck him in Samaria, in the tower of the king’s house, near Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men from the sons of the Gileadites. And he killed him, and reigned in his place.

27 L'anno cinquantesimo secondo di Azaria re di Giuda, regnò Phacee figliuolo di Romelia sopra Israele in Samaria per venti anni.	27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah, the king of Judah: Pekah, the son of Remaliah, reigned over Israel, in Samaria, for twenty years.
28 Ed ei fece il male dinanzi al Signore: non si allontanò dai peccati di Geroboam figliuolo di Nabath, il quale indusse Israele a peccare.	28 And he did what was evil before the Lord. He did not withdraw from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
29 Regnando Phacee re d'Israele, venne Theglathphalasar re di Assur, e prese Aion, e Abel-casa di Maacha, e Janoe, e Cedes, e Asor, e Galaad, e la Galilea, e tutta la terra di Nephthali; e trasportò la gente nell'Assiria.	29 In the days of Pekah, the king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser, the king of Assyria, arrived and captured Ijon, and Abel Bethmaacah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, and the entire land of Naphtali. And he took them away into Assyria.
30 E Osea figliuolo di Eia fece congiura, e tese insidie a Phacee figliuolo i Romelia, e lo assalì, e lo uccise, e regnò in sua vece l'anno ventesimo di Joatham figliuolo di Ozia.	30 Then Hoshea, the son of Elah, conspired and carried out treachery against Pekah, the son of Remaliah. And he struck him, and killed him. And he reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham, the son of Uzziah.
31 Il resto poi delle azioni di Phacee, e tutto quello, che egli operò, non è egli scritto nel diario de' fatti dei re d'sraele.	31 Now the rest of the words of Pekah, and all that he did, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
32 L'anno secondo di Phacee figliuolo di Romelia re d'Israele, cominciò a regnare Joatham figliuolo di Ozia re di Giuda.	32 In the second year of Pekah, the son of Remaliah, the king of Israel: Jotham, son of Uzziah, reigned as king of Judah.
33 Egli avea venticinque anni quando principiò a regnare, e sedici anni regnò in Gerusalemme: sua madre si chiamò Jerusa, che era figliuola di Sadoc.	33 He was twenty-five years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.
34 Ed egli fece quel, che era grato nel cospetto del Signore; facendo tutto quello, che avea fatto Ozia suo padre.	34 And he did what was pleasing before the Lord. In accord with all that his father, Uzziah, had done, so he did.
35 Egli però non tolse via i luoghi eccelsi: tutt'ora il popolo sagrificava, e bruciava incenso ne luoghi eccelsi. Egli edificò l'altissima porta della casa del Signore.	35 Yet truly, he did not take away the high places. And still the people were immolating, and burning incense, in the high places. But he edified the gate of the house of the Lord to be very sublime.
36 Il resto poi delle azioni di Joatham, e tutto quello, che egli operò, non è egli scritto nel diario de' fatti dei re di Giuda?	36 Now the rest of the words of Jotham, and all that he did, have these not been written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah?
37 In quel tempo cominciò il Signore a spedir contra Giuda Rasin re della Siria, e Phacee figliuolo di Romelia.	37 In those days, the Lord began to send, into Judah, Rezin, the king of Syria, and Pekah, the son of Remaliah.
38 E Joatham si addormentò co' padri suoi, e fu sepolto con essi nella città di Davidde suo padre, e gli succedette nel regno Achaz suo figliuolo.	38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and he was buried with them in the city of David, his father. And Ahaz, his son, reigned in his place.
