1 John 5

KING JAMES BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.	1 El que cree que Jesús es el Cristo ha nacido de Dios; y el que ama al Padre ama también al que ha nacido de él,
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.	2 La señal de que amamos a los hijos de Dios es que amamos a Dios y cumplimos sus mandamientos.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.	3 El amor a Dios consiste en cumplir sus mandamientos, y sus mandamientos no son una carga,
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.	4 porque el que ha nacido de Dios, vence al mundo. Y la victoria que triunfa sobre el mundo es nuestra fe.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?	5 ¿Quién es el que vence al mundo, sino el que cree que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.	6 Jesucristo vino por el agua y por la sangre; no solamente con el agua, sino con el agua y con la sangre. Y el Espíritu es la verdad.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.	7 Son tres los que dan testimonio:
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.	8 el Espíritu, el agua y la sangre; y los tres están de acuerdo.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.	9 Si damos fe al testimonio de los hombres, con mayor razón tenemos que aceptar el testimonio de Dios. Y Dios ha dado testimonio de su Hijo.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.	10 El que cree en el Hijo de Dios tiene en su corazón el testimonio de Dios. El que no cree a Dios lo hace pasar por mentiroso, porque no cree en el testimonio que Dios ha dado acerca de su Hijo.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.	11 Y el testimonio es este: Dios nos dio la Vida eterna, y esa Vida está en su Hijo.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.	12 El que está unido al Hijo, tiene la Vida; el que no lo está, no tiene la Vida.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.	13 Les he escrito estas cosas, a ustedes que creen en el nombre del Hijo de Dios, para que sepan que tienen la Vida eterna.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:	14 Tenemos plena confianza de que Dios nos escucha si le pedimos algo conforme a su voluntad.
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.	15 Y sabiendo que él nos escucha en todo lo que le pedimos, sabemos que ya poseemos lo que le hemos pedido.
16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.	16 El que ve a su hermano cometer un pecado que no lleva a la muerte, que ore y le dará la Vida. Me refiero a los que cometen pecados que no conducen a la muerte, porque hay un pecado que lleva a la muerte; por este no les pido que oren.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.	17 Aunque toda maldad es pecado, no todo pecado lleva a la muerte.
18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.	18 Sabemos que el que ha nacido de Dios no peca, sino que el Hijo de Dios lo protege, y el Maligno no le puede hacer nada.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.	19 Sabemos que somos de Dios, y que el mundo entero está bajo el poder del Maligno.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.	20 Y sabemos también que el Hijo de Dios ha venido y nos ha dado inteligencia para que conozcamos al que es Verdadero; y nosotros permanecemos en el que es Verdadero, en su Hijo Jesucristo. El es el Dios verdadero y la Vida eterna.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.	21 Hijitos míos, cuídense de los ídolos...
