Hebrews 5

KING JAMES BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:	1 Todo Sumo Sacerdote es tomado de entre los hombres y puesto para intervenir en favor de los hombres en todo aquello que se refiere al servicio de Dios, a fin de ofrecer dones y sacrificios por los pecados.
2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.	2 El puede mostrarse indulgente con los que pecan por ignorancia y con los descarriados, porque él mismo está sujeto a la debilidad humana.
3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.	3 Por eso debe ofrecer sacrificios, no solamente por los pecados del pueblo, sino también por los propios pecados.
4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.	4 Y nadie se arroga esta dignidad, si no es llamado por Dios como lo fue Aarón.
5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.	5 Por eso, Cristo no se atribuyó a sí mismo la gloria de ser Sumo Sacerdote, sino que la recibió de aquel que le dijo: "Tú eres mi Hijo, yo te he engendrado hoy".
6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.	6 Como también dice en otro lugar: "Tú eres sacerdote para siempre, según el orden de Melquisedec".
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;	7 El dirigió durante su vida terreno súplicas y plegarias, con fuertes gritos y lágrimas, a aquel que podía salvarlo de la muerte, y fue escuchado por su humilde sumisión.
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;	8 Y, aunque era Hijo de Dios, aprendió por medio de sus propios sufrimientos qué significa obedecer.
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;	9 De este modo, él alcanzó la perfección y llegó a ser causa de salvación eterna para todos los que le obedecen,
10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.	10 porque Dios lo proclamó Sumo Sacerdote según el orden de Melquisedec.
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.	11 Sobre esto tendríamos que decir muchas cosas, pero es difícil explicárselas, porque ustedes son lentos para comprender.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.	12 Aunque ya es tiempo de que sean maestros, ustedes necesitan que se les enseñen nuevamente los rudimentos de la Palabra de Dios: han vuelto a tener necesidad de leche, en lugar de comida sólida.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.	13 Ahora bien, el que se alimenta de leche no puede entender la doctrina de la justicia, porque no es más que un niño.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.	14 El alimento sólido es propio de los adultos, de aquellos que por la práctica tienen la sensibilidad adiestrada para discernir entre el bien y el mal.
