1 Let brotherly love continue.	1 A testvéri szeretet maradjon meg bennetek!
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.	2 Ne feledkezzetek meg a vendégszeretetről, mert általa egyesek tudtukon kívül angyalokat fogadtak be szállásra.
3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.	3 Emlékezzetek meg a foglyokról, mintha ti is velük együtt foglyok volnátok, és azokról, akiket nyomorgatnak, mint akik magatok is testben vagytok.
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.	4 Tisztességes legyen a házasság mindenben, és szeplőtlen a házaságy; mert a paráznákat és a házasságtörőket megítéli Isten.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.	5 Legyen viselkedésetek fösvénység nélkül való, elégedjetek meg azzal, amitek van; mert ő mondta: »Nem hagylak el, s nem távozom el tőled«,
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.	6 ezért bizalommal mondhatjuk: »Az Úr az én segítőm, nem félek, ember mit is tehetne ellenem?«
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.	7 Emlékezzetek meg elöljáróitokról, akik nektek Isten igéjét hirdették, nézzétek életük végét, és kövessétek hitüket!
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.	8 Jézus Krisztus ugyanaz tegnap, és ma, és mindörökké.
9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.	9 Sokféle és idegen tanítással ne engedjétek magatokat félrevezetni; mert legjobb, ha a szívet kegyelemmel erősítjük meg, nem pedig olyan ételekkel, amelyek nem használnak az azokkal élőknek.
10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.	10 Van oltárunk, amelyről nem ehetnek azok, akik a sátornak szolgálnak.
11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.	11 Mert amelyik állat vérét a főpap a bűnért a szentélybe viszi, annak testét a táboron kívül égetik el .
12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.	12 Ezért Jézus is, hogy a saját vére által megszentelje a népet, a kapun kívül szenvedett.
13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.	13 Menjünk ki tehát hozzá a táboron kívülre, s hordozzuk az ő gyalázatát.
14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.	14 Hiszen nincs itt maradandó városunk: az eljövendőt keressük.
15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.	15 Általa mutassuk be tehát Istennek mindenkor a dicséret áldozatát , azaz ajkunk gyümölcsét , amely az ő nevét magasztalja.
16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.	16 A jótékonyságról pedig és a javak elosztásáról ne feledkezzetek meg, mert az ilyen áldozatok tetszenek Istennek.
17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.	17 Engedelmeskedjetek elöljáróitoknak, és vessétek magatokat alá nekik, hiszen úgy őrködnek ők fölöttetek, mint akik számot fognak adni lelketekért, hadd tegyék ezt örömmel és ne sóhajtva, mert ez nem szolgálna javatokra.
18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.	18 Imádkozzatok értünk, hiszen bízunk abban, hogy tiszta a lelkiismeretünk, és mindenben jól akarunk eljárni.
19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.	19 Annál inkább kérlek titeket, tegyetek így, hogy mielőbb visszakapjatok.
20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,	20 A békesség Istene pedig, aki a mi Urunkat, Jézust , a juhok nagy pásztorát a halálból kivezette az örök szövetség vérében,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.	21 tegyen alkalmassá titeket minden jóra, hogy megtegyétek az ő akaratát. Azt munkálja bennünk, ami előtte kedves, Jézus Krisztus által, akié a dicsőség örökkön örökké! Ámen.
22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.	22 Kérlek titeket, testvérek, vegyétek jó néven az intés igéjét; mert röviden írtam nektek.
23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.	23 Tudjátok meg, hogy Timóteus testvérünk kiszabadult. Ha nemsokára eljön, meg foglak vele látogatni benneteket.
24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.	24 Üdvözöljétek összes elöljáróitokat és minden szentet! Üdvözölnek titeket az itáliai testvérek!
25 Grace be with you all. Amen.	25 Kegyelem mindnyájatokkal!
