Deuteronomy 26

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;	1 Lorsque tu parviendras au pays que Yahvé ton Dieu te donne en héritage, lorsque tu leposséderas et l'habiteras,
2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.	2 tu prélèveras les prémices de tous les produits du sol que tu auras fait pousser au pays que tedonne Yahvé ton Dieu. Tu les mettras dans une hotte, et tu te rendras au lieu choisi par Yahvé ton Dieu pour yfaire habiter son nom.
3 And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.	3 Tu iras trouver le prêtre alors en charge, et tu lui diras: "Je déclare aujourd'hui à Yahvé monDieu que je suis arrivé au pays que Yahvé avait juré à nos pères de nous donner."
4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.	4 Le prêtre prendra de ta main la hotte et la déposera devant l'autel de Yahvé ton Dieu.
5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:	5 Tu prononceras ces paroles devant Yahvé ton Dieu: "Mon père était un Araméen errant quidescendit en Egypte, et c'est en petit nombre qu'il y séjourna, avant d'y devenir une nation grande, puissante etnombreuse.
6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:	6 Les Egyptiens nous maltraitèrent, nous brimèrent et nous imposèrent une dure servitude.
7 And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:	7 Nous avons fait appel à Yahvé le Dieu de nos pères. Yahvé entendit notre voix, il vit notremisère, notre peine et notre oppression,
8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:	8 et Yahvé nous fit sortir d'Egypte à main forte et à bras étendu, par une grande terreur, dessignes et des prodiges.
9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.	9 Il nous a conduits ici et nous a donné cette terre, terre qui ruisselle de lait et de miel.
10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:	10 Voici que j'apporte maintenant les prémices des produits du sol que tu m'as donné, Yahvé."Tu les déposeras devant Yahvé ton Dieu et tu te prosterneras devant Yahvé ton Dieu.
11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.	11 Puis tu te réjouiras de toutes les bonnes choses dont Yahvé ton Dieu t'a gratifié, toi et tamaison, -- toi ainsi que le lévite et l'étranger qui est chez toi.
12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;	12 La troisième année, année de la dîme, lorsque tu auras achevé de prendre la dîme de toustes revenus et que tu l'auras donnée au lévite, à l'étranger, à la veuve et à l'orphelin, et que, l'ayant consomméedans tes villes, ils s'en seront rassasiés,
13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:	13 tu diras en présence de Yahvé ton Dieu: "J'ai retiré de ma maison ce qui était consacré. Oui,je l'ai donné au lévite, à l'étranger, à l'orphelin et à la veuve, selon tous les commandements que tu m'as faits,sans outrepasser tes commandements ni les oublier.
14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.	14 Je n'en ai rien mangé quand j'étais en deuil, je n'en ai rien retiré quand j'étais impur, je n'airien donné pour un mort. J'ai obéi à la voix de Yahvé mon Dieu et j'ai agi selon tout ce que tu m'avais ordonné.
15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.	15 De la demeure de ta sainteté, des cieux, regarde et bénis Israël ton peuple, ainsi que la terreque tu nous as donnée comme tu l'avais juré à nos pères, terre qui ruisselle de lait et de miel."
16 This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.	16 Yahvé ton Dieu t'ordonne aujourd'hui de pratiquer ces lois et coutumes; tu les garderas et tules pratiqueras de tout ton coeur et de toute ton âme.
17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:	17 Tu as obtenu de Yahvé aujourd'hui cette déclaration, qu'il serait ton Dieu -- mais à lacondition que tu marches dans ses voies, que tu gardes ses lois, ses commandements et ses coutumes et que tuécoutes sa voix.
18 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;	18 Et Yahvé a obtenu de toi aujourd'hui cette déclaration, que tu serais son peuple à lui,comme il te l'a dit -- mais à la condition de garder tous ses commandements;
19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.	19 il t'élèverait alors au-dessus de toutes les nations qu'il a faites, en honneur, en renom et engloire, et tu serais un peuple consacré à Yahvé ton Dieu, ainsi qu'il te l'a dit.
