Deuteronomy 26

1 And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;	1 Cuando llegues a la tierra que Yahveh tu Dios te da en herencia, cuando la poseas y habites en ella,
2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.	2 tomarás las primicias de todos los productos del suelo que coseches en la tierra que Yahveh tu Dios te da, las pondrás en una cesta, y las llevarás al lugar elegido por Yahveh tu Dios para morada de su nombre.
3 And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.	3 Te presentarás al sacerdote que esté entonces en funciones y le dirás: «Yo declaro hoy a Yahveh mi Dios que he llegado a la tierra que Yahveh juró a nuestros padres que nos daría».
4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.	4 El sacerdote tomará de tu mano la cesta y la depositará ante el altar de Yahveh tu Dios.
5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:	5 Tú pronunciarás estas palabras ante Yahveh tu Dios: «Mi padre era un arameo errante que bajó a Egipto y residió allí como inmigrante siendo pocos aún, pero se hizo una nación grande, fuerte y numerosa.
6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:	6 Los egipcios nos maltrataron, nos oprimieron y nos impusieron dura servidumbre.
7 And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:	7 Nosotros clamanos a Yahveh Dios de nuestros padres, y Yahveh escuchó nuestra voz; vio nuestra miseria, nuestras penalidades y nuestra opresión,
8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:	8 y Yahveh nos sacó de Egipto con mano fuerte y tenso brazo en medio de gran terror, señales y prodigios.
9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.	9 Nos trajo aquí y nos dio esta tierra, tierra que mana leche y miel
10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:	10 Y ahora yo traigo las primicias de los productos del suelo que tú, Yahveh, me has dado». Las depositarás ante Yahveh tu Dios y te postrarás ante Yahveh tu Dios.
11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.	11 Luego te regocijarás por todos los bienes que Yahveh tu Dios te haya dado a ti y a tu casa, y también se regocijará el levita y el forastero que viven en medio de ti.
12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;	12 El tercer año, el año del diezmo, cuando hayas acabado de apartar el diezmo de toda tu cosecha y se lo hayas dado al levita, al forastero, a la viuda y al huérfano, para que coman de ello en tus ciudades hasta saciarse,
13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:	13 dirás en presencia de Yahveh tu Dios: «He retirado de mi casa lo que era sagrado; se lo he dado al levita, al forastero, al huérfano y a la viuda, según todos los mandamientos que me has dado sin traspasar ninguno de tus mandamientos ni olvidarlos.
14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.	14 Nada de ello he comido estando en duelo, nada he retirado hallándome impuro, nada he ofrecido a un muerto. He escuchado la voz de Yahveh mi Dios y he obrado conforme a todo lo que me has mandado.
15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.	15 Desde la morada de tu santidad, desde lo alto de los cielos, contempla y bendice a tu pueblo Israel, así como al suelo que nos has dado como habías jurado a nuestros padres, tierra que mana leche y miel».
16 This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.	16 Yahveh tu Dios te manda hoy practicar estos preceptos y estas normas; las guardarás y las practicarás con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma.
17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:	17 Has hecho decir a Yahveh que él será tu Dios - tú seguirás sus caminos, observarás sus preceptos, sus mandamientos y sus normas, y escucharás su voz -.
18 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;	18 Y Yahveh te ha hecho decir hoy que serás su pueblo propio, como él te ha dicho - tú deberás guardar todos sus mandamientos -;
19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.	19 él te elevará en honor, renombre y gloria, por encima de todas las naciones que hizo, y serás un pueblo consagrado a Yahveh tu Dios como él te ha dicho.
