Zechariah 10

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.	1 Demandez à Yahvé la pluie à la saison des ondées tardives. C'est Yahvé qui fait les nuéesd'orages. Il leur donnera la pluie d'averse, à chacun, l'herbe dans son champ.
2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.	2 Parce que les téraphim prédisent la fausseté, que les devins voient du mensonge, que les songesont débité l'illusion, donné de vaines consolations, voilà pourquoi ils sont partis comme des brebis en piteux état,faute de pasteur.
3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.	3 Contre les pasteurs a brûlé ma colère, contre les boucs je vais sévir. Quand Yahvé Sabaot visiterason troupeau, la maison de Juda, il en fera comme son cheval d'honneur dans le combat.
4 Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.	4 De lui sortira l'angle, de lui le piquet; de lui l'arc de combat, de lui tout gouverneur. Ensemble
5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.	5 ils seront comme des vaillants qui piétinent la boue des rues dans le combat. Ils combattront, carYahvé est avec eux, et ceux qui montent des chevaux seront confondus.
6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.	6 Je rendrai vaillante la maison de Juda et victorieuse la maison de Joseph. Je les ramènerai car ilsme font pitié et ils seront comme si je ne les avais pas rejetés, car je suis Yahvé leur Dieu et je les exaucerai.
7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.	7 Ephraïm sera comme un vaillant et leur coeur se réjouira comme sous l'effet du vin; leurs filsregarderont et se réjouiront, leur coeur exultera en Yahvé.
8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.	8 Je vais siffler pour les rassembler car je les ai rachetés: ils seront nombreux comme ils l'étaient.
9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.	9 Je les sèmerai parmi les peuples, mais au loin ils se souviendront de moi, ils instruiront leurs filset ils reviendront.
10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Labanon; and place shall not be found for them.	10 Je les ramènerai de la terre d'Egypte et d'Assur je les rassemblerai; dans la terre de Galaad et duLiban je les ferai entrer et cela ne leur suffira pas.
11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.	11 Ils traverseront la mer d'Egypte (et il frappera les flots dans la mer), toutes les profondeurs duNil seront asséchées, l'orgueil d'Assur sera abattu et enlevé le sceptre de l'Egypte.
12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.	12 Je les rendrai vaillants en Yahvé, c'est en son nom qu'ils marcheront, oracle de Yahvé.
