1 Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east:	1 L’homme me conduisit vers la porte de l’est,
2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.	2 et voici que la Gloire du Dieu d’Israël arrivait de l’orient avec un bruit semblable à celui des grandes eaux; la terre fut illuminée de sa Gloire.
3 And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.	3 Cette vision était semblable à celle que j’avais eue lorsque Yahvé était venu pour détruire la ville; elle était semblable à la vision que j’avais eue au bord du fleuve Kébar; je tombai la face contre terre.
4 And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.	4 La Gloire de Yahvé entra dans le Temple par la porte de l’est.
5 So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.	5 L’Esprit me souleva et me fit entrer dans la cour intérieure et voici que la Gloire de Yahvé remplissait la Maison.
6 And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.	6 J’entendis alors quelqu’un qui me parlait de l’intérieur du Temple tandis que l’homme se tenait toujours près de moi.
7 And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.	7 Il me dit: “Fils d’homme, tu as vu la place de mon trône, le lieu pour la plante de mes pieds; c’est là que j’habiterai pour toujours au milieu des Israélites. Le peuple d’Israël avec ses rois ne souillera plus mon saint Nom par ses prostitutions ou par les cadavres de ses rois lorsqu’ils meurent.
8 In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.	8 Ils avaient planté leur porte à côté de ma porte, leurs montants de porte à côté des montants de la mienne: juste un mur entre moi et eux. Les horreurs qu’ils commettaient ont souillé mon saint Nom, et je les ai exterminés dans ma colère.
9 Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.	9 Ils éloigneront de moi leurs prostitutions et les cadavres de leurs rois, de façon que j’habite au milieu d’eux pour toujours.
10 Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.	10 “Toi, fils d’homme, décris maintenant au peuple d’Israël la Maison, qu’ils soient confus de leurs fautes et qu’ils en mesurent l’importance.
11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.	11 S’ils ont honte de tout ce qu’ils ont commis, tu dessineras la Maison et ses constructions, ses entrées et ses sorties et toutes ses décorations. Tu leur feras connaître et tu mettras par écrit sous leurs yeux tous les règlements et toutes les lois de la Maison, pour qu’ils les observent et les mettent en pratique.
12 This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.	12 Ceci est la loi de la Maison: tout son territoire dans toute son étendue au sommet de la montagne, est un lieu très saint.”
13 And these are the measures of the altar after the cubits: The cubit is a cubit and an hand breadth; even the bottom shall be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about shall be a span: and this shall be the higher place of the altar.	13 Voici les dimensions de l’autel en coudées du Temple. Cette coudée vaut une coudée ordinaire et un palme. Le soubassement tout autour est haut d’une coudée et sa largeur est d’une coudée, avec un rebord extérieur d’un empan. Voici comment s’élève l’autel:
14 And from the bottom upon the ground even to the lower settle shall be two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser settle even to the greater settle shall be four cubits, and the breadth one cubit.	14 le socle inférieur est à deux coudées au-dessus du soubassement, laissant une coudée de largeur, et la hauteur est de quatre coudées depuis le petit socle jusqu’au grand socle, laissant encore une coudée de largeur.
15 So the altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar and upward shall be four horns.	15 Le foyer s’élève quatre coudées plus haut, avec au-dessus ses quatre cornes.
16 And the altar shall be twelve cubits long, twelve broad, square in the four squares thereof.	16 Le foyer est carré, long et large de 12 coudées.
17 And the settle shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a cubit about; and his stairs shall look toward the east.	17 Le grand socle a 14 coudées de long sur 14 de large, (le petit socle a 16 coudées de long et de large) sur son soubassement d’une coudée, plus le rebord tout autour. Les marches sont sur le côté est.
18 And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.	18 Il me dit: “Fils d’homme, voici ce que dit Yahvé: Voici les règles pour l’autel le jour où il sera réalisé. On y fera monter l’holocauste et on y répandra le sang.
19 And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering.	19 Alors tu donneras aux prêtres lévites qui sont de la descendance de Sadoq et qui s’approchent de moi pour me servir, parole de Yahvé, un jeune taureau en expiation.
20 And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it.	20 Tu prendras de son sang et tu en mettras sur les quatre cornes, sur les angles du socle et sur le rebord tout autour; ainsi tu feras l’expiation pour l’autel.
21 Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.	21 Puis tu prendras le taureau et on le brûlera dans une dépendance de la Maison, en dehors du Temple.
22 And on the second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock.	22 Le second jour tu offriras un bouc sans défaut pour l’expiation, et l’on fera l’expiation pour l’autel comme on l’a fait avec le jeune taureau.
23 When thou hast made an end of cleansing it, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish.	23 Lorsque tu auras terminé l’expiation, tu offriras un jeune taureau sans défaut et un bélier sans défaut pris dans le petit bétail.
24 And thou shalt offer them before the LORD, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto the LORD.	24 Tu les offriras devant Yahvé, les prêtres jetteront sur eux du sel et les offriront en holocauste à Yahvé.
25 Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish.	25 Durant sept jours tu offriras chaque jour un bouc pour l’expiation; on fera de même le sacrifice du jeune taureau et du bélier sans défaut pris parmi le petit bétail.
26 Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves.	26 Durant sept jours on fera la supplication pour l’autel, on le purifiera et on l’inaugurera.
27 And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD.	27 À partir du huitième jour, les prêtres pourront offrir sur l’autel vos holocaustes et vos sacrifices pacifiques et je vous en saurai gré, parole de Yahvé.”
