Ezekiel 22

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	1 La parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.	2 Et toi, fils de l'homme, ne juges-tu pas, ne juges-tu pas la ville de sang?
3 Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.	3 Tu lui montreras toutes ses abominations, et tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: C'est là la ville qui répand le sang au milieu d'elle afin que son temps arrive, et qui a fait des idoles contre elle-même, pour se souiller.
4 Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.	4 Tu t'es rendue coupable par le sang que tu as répandu; tu t'es souillée par les idoles que tu as faites, et tu as avancé tes jours et amené le terme de tes années: c'est pourquoi J'ai fait de toi l'opprobre des nations et l'objet des insultes de tous les pays.
5 Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.	5 Ceux qui sont près et ceux qui sont loin de toi triompheront de toi, souillée, illustre et grande par ta ruine.
6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.	6 Voici, les princes d'Israël usent chacun de leur bras au dedans de toi, pour répandre le sang.
7 In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.	7 Ils ont accablé d'outrages leur père et leur mère au dedans de toi; ils ont calomnié l'étranger au milieu de toi; ils ont affligé chez toi l'orphelin et la veuve.
8 Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.	8 Tu as méprisé Mon sanctuaire et tu as profané Mes sabbats.
9 In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.	9 Il y a eu au dedans de toi des calomniateurs pour répandre le sang; chez toi, ils ont mangé sur les montagnes; ils ont commis le crime au milieu de toi.
10 In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.	10 Au dedans de toi ils ont découvert la honte de leur père; au dedans de toi ils ont outragé la femme pendant son impureté;
11 And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.	11 chacun a commis des abominations avec la femme de son prohcain, le beau-père a souillé criminellement sa belle-fille; au milieu de toi le frère a fait violence à sa soeur, fille de son père.
12 In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.	12 Chez toi ils ont reçu des présents pour répandre le sang; tu as reçu une usure exorbitante, et tu as calomnié ton prochain pour satisfaire ton avarice; et tu M'as oublié, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.	13 Voici, J'ai frappé des mains, à cause de l'avarice que tu as pratiquée, et à cause du sang qui a été répandu au milieu de toi.
14 Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.	14 Ton coeur sera-t-il ferme, et tes mains auront-elles de la force, aux jours où J'agirai contre toi? Moi, le Seigneur, J'ai parlé, et J'agirai.
15 And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.	15 Je te disperserai parmi les nations, Je te disséminerai en divers pays, et Je ferai disparaître de toi ton impureté.
16 And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.	16 Je te posséderai en présence des nations, et tu sauras que Je suis le Seigneur.
17 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	17 La parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes:
18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.	18 Fils de l'homme, la maison d'Israël s'est changée pour Moi en scories; ils sont tous de l'airain, de l'étain, du fer, et du plomb au milieu de la fournaise; ils sont les scories de l'argent.
19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.	19 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Parce que vous vous êtes tous changés en scories, voici, Je vous rassemblerai au milieu de Jérusalem,
20 As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.	20 comme on rassemble l'argent, l'airain, l'étain, le fer et le plomb au milieu de la fournaise, et J'y allumerai le feu pour vous faire fondre. C'est ainsi que Je vous rassemblerai dans Ma fureur et dans Ma colère; Je Me satisferai, et Je vous ferai fondre.
21 Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.	21 Je vous rassemblerai, et Je vous brûlerai par le feu de Ma fureur, et vous serez fondus au milieu de Jérusalem.
22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.	22 Comme l'argent est fondu au milieu de la fournaise, ainsi le serez-vous au milieu de cette ville, et vous saurez que Je suis le Seigneur, lorsque J'aurai répandu Mon indignation sur vous.
23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	23 La parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes:
24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.	24 Fils de l'homme, dis à Jérusalem: Tu es une terre impure, et qui n'a pas été arrosée de pluies au jour de la fureur.
25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.	25 Les prophètes ont conspiré au milieu d'elle; comme un lion qui rugit et ravit la proie, ils ont dévoré les âmes; ils ont reçu des richesses et des récompenses, ils ont multiplié les veuves au milieu d'elle.
26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.	26 Ses prêtres ont méprisé Ma loi, et ils ont souillé Mon sanctuaire; ils n'ont pas fait de différence entre ce qui est saint et ce qui est profane, et ils n'ont pas distingué entre ce qui est pur et ce qui est impur; ils ont détourné leurs yeux de Mes sabbats, et J'étais souillé au milieu d'eux.
27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.	27 Ses princes, au milieu d'elle, étaient comme des loups qui ravissent la proie, attentifs à répandre le sang, à perdre les âmes et à courir avidement après le gain.
28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.	28 Ses prophètes mettaient l'enduit sans y rien mêler; ils avaient des visions vaines et prophétisaient le mensonge, en disant: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu, quoique le Seigneur n'eût point parlé.
29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.	29 Le peuple du pays se livrait à la calomnie et commettait de violentes rapines; il affligeait l'indigent et le pauvre, et opprimait l'étranger par la calomnie sans justice.
30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.	30 J'ai cherché parmi eux un homme qui s'interposât comme une haie, qui se tînt devant Moi en faveur de ce pays, afin que Je ne le détruise pas, et Je n'en ai point trouvé.
31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.	31 Aussi ai-Je répandu sur eux Mon indignation, Je les ai consumés dans le feu de Ma colère; J'ai fait retomber leur conduite sur leur tête, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
