Ezekiel 22

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	1 E la parola del Signore mi fu rivolta in questi termini:
2 Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.	2 « E tu, figlio dell'uomo, non giudichi, non giudichi la città dei sanguinari?
3 Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.	3 Mostra ad essi tutte le loro abominazioni e di': Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Città che spargi il sangue dentro di te, per far venire il tuo tempo, e che a tuo danno hai fabbricati idoli per contaminarti,
4 Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.	4 pel sangue che tu hai sparso ti sei resa colpevole, negli idoli che hai fatti ti sei contaminata, ed hai fatto avvicinare i tuoi giorni, hai fatto venire (la fine) dei tuoi anni; per questo ti ho resa l'obbrobrio delle nazioni, lo scherno di tutta la terra.
5 Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.	5 Quelli che sono vicini e quelli che sono da te lontani meneran trionfo su di te, nobile contaminata, grande nella rovina.
6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.	6 Ecco che i principi d'Israele, ciascuno secondo le sue forze, sono in te (occupati) a sparger sangue.
7 In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.	7 Dentro di te hanno oltraggiato il padre e la madre, in te han calunniato il forestiero, presso di te han contristato l'orfano e la vedova.
8 Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.	8 Tu hai disprezzato il nero santuario, profanati i miei sabati.
9 In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.	9 Furon dentro di te dei calunniatori a sparger sangue, dentro di te mangiarono sui monti, dentro di te furono commesse scelleraggini.
10 In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.	10 In te furono scoperte le nudità del padre, in te fu violata la donna nel tempo della sua immondezza.
11 And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.	11 E ciascuno fa cose abominevoli colla moglie del suo prossimo: il socero contamina in modo nefando la sua nuora, il fratello in te fa violenza alla sorella, alla figlia del suo padre.
12 In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.	12 In te si ricevon doni per spargere il sangue, tu hai preso l'usura e il soprappiù, per avarizia hai calunniati i tuoi prossimi, e ti sei dimenticata di me — dice il Signore Dio.
13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.	13 Ecco, io ho battute le mie mani per la tua avarizia, da te messa in opera, e pel sangue che è stato sparso dentro di te.
14 Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.	14 Il tuo cuore potrà reggere, prevarranno le tue mani nei giorni che io farò per te? Io, il Signore, ho parlato, e farò.
15 And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.	15 E ti disperderò fra le nazioni, e ti manderò al vento per le terre, e farò finire in te la tua immondezza.
16 And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.	16 E ti farò mia in presenza delle nazioni, e saprai che io sono il Signore ».
17 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	17 E il Signore mi parlò e mi disse:
18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.	18 « Figlio dell'uomo, la casa d'Israele m'è andata in scoria: tutti costoro son come rame, stagno, ferro e piombo nel mezzo della fornace: son divenuti le scorie dell'argento.
19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.	19 Per questo, ecco quanto dice il Signore Dio: Siccome voi siete divenuti tutti scorie, per questo, ecco che io vi radunerò nel mezzo di Gerusalemme;
20 As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.	20 e come si ammassa l'argento, il rame, lo stagno, il ferro e il piombo nel mezzo della fornace per accendervi il fuoco e fonderli, così io nel mio furore, nel mio sdegno vi radunerò e mi metterò a fondervi.
21 Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.	21 E radunati che vi abbia, vi farò bruciare nel fuoco del mio furore e in mezzo ad esso sarete fusi.
22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.	22 Come si fonde l'argento nel mezzo della fornace, così voi in mezzo di Gerusalemme, e conoscerete che io sono il Signore, quando avrò versata sopra di voi la mia indignazione ».
23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	23 E il Signore mi parlò e mi disse:
24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.	24 « Figlio dell'uomo, dille: « Tu sei terra immonda e non bagnata dalla pioggia nel giorno del furore.
25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.	25 V'è in mezzo a lei una congiura di profeti, come leone che rugge e rapisce la preda, essi han divorate le anime, ne han prese le ricchezze e i guadagni ed han moltiplicate in mezzo ad essa le vedove.
26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.	26 I suoi sacerdoti han disprezzata la mia legge, han contaminato il mio santuario, non han fatto differenza alcuna tra il sacro e il profano, non han distinto il puro dall'impuro, non han guardato ai miei sabati, ed io in mezzo a loro sono stato disonorato.
27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.	27 I suoi principi sono dentro di lei come lupi nel rapir la preda, spargere il sangue, rovinare le anime e cercare avidamente guadagni.
28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.	28 E poi i profeti di lei mettevano sopra di loro l'intonaco senza mistura con vane visioni e oracoli bugiardi, col dire: « Queste cose dice il Signore » mentre il Signore non aveva parlato.
29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.	29 I popoli del paese aggiungevan calunna a calunnie, con violenza facevan rapine, contristavano l'indigente e il povero, senza alcun riguardo alla giustizia opprimevano il forestiero colla calunnia.
30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.	30 Ed io cercai tra loro un uomo che mettesse un riparo, che mi si opponesse in favore della terra in modo che io non la sterminassi, e non lo trovai.
31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.	31 E allora io sparsi sopra di essi la mia indignazione, li divorai col fuoco del mio furore, feci ricadere le loro opere sopra le loro teste — dice il Signore Dio ».
