Ezekiel 22

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	1 Il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
2 Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.	2 E tu, o figliuolo dell'uomo, non farai tu giudizio, non farai tu giudizio della citta sanguinaria?
3 Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.	3 E non le farai tu vedere tutte le sue abbominazioni? Tu dirai: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Ecco la città, che versa il sangue scopertamente, affinchè venga il suo tempo: ella pur fabbricossi per sua sciagura degl'idoli, affiti di contaminarsi.
4 Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.	4 Tu hai peccato nello sparger il sangue, e ti se contaminata cogl'idoli, che fabbricasti, e facesti, che i giorni tuoi accellerassero, e facesti venir la fine degli anni tuoi. Per questo ti ho fatta l'obbrobrio delle nazioni, e lo scherno di tutta la terra.
5 Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.	5 I vicini, e i lontani trionferanno di te, o infame, famosa, grande nel tuo sterminio.
6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.	6 Ecco, che presso di te i principi d'Israele sono intesi, ciascuno giusta sua possa, a spargere il sangue,
7 In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.	7 Oltraggiaron dentro di te il padre, e la madre, calunniarono il forestiero in mezzo a te, contristaron presso di te il pupillo, e la vedova.
8 Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.	8 Voi sprezzaste i miei santuarj, e violaste i miei sabati.
9 In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.	9 Tu avesti nel tuo seno de' calunnniatori per ispargere il sangue, e dentro di te si fecer banchetti sulle colline, furon commesse le scelleraggini in mezzo a te.
10 In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.	10 Dentro di te non si ebbe rispetto alla moglie del proprio padre, né alla donna nel tempo di sua immondezza.
11 And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.	11 Ognun di essi fé cose abbominevoli colla moglie del prossimo suo, e il suocero indegnamente peccò colla nuora, il fratello fé violenza alla sorella, alla figlia del proprio suo padre.
12 In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.	12 Accettarono in te dei regali per ispargere il sangue: tu ricevesti l'usura, e il soprappiù, e per avarizia calunniavi i fratelli: di me poi ti scordasti, dice il Signore Dio.
13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.	13 Per questo io battei le mani veggendo la tua avarizia, e il sangue sparso in mezzo a te.
14 Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.	14 Potrà egli reggere il cuor tuo, ovver sarann' elleno più robuste le mani tue nei giorni, che io ti preparo? Io il Signore no parlato, e io farò,
15 And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.	15 E ti spergerò tralle nazioni, e ti sparpaglierò per tutte le terre, e farò, che abbia fine in te la tua immondezza.
16 And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.	16 E mi farò Signore di te al cospetto delle nazioni; e conoscerai, ch'io sono il Signore.
17 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	17 E il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.	18 Figliuolo dell'uomo, la casa d'Israele mi s'è cangiata in ischiuma, tutti costoro son come rame, stagno, e ferro, e piombo nel mezzo della fornace: son diventati la schiuma dell'argento.
19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.	19 Per questo, cosi parla il Signore Dio: Perchè voi vi siete tutti cangiati in ischiuma, per questo, ecco, che io vi ratinerò nel mezzo di Gerusalemme,
20 As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.	20 Facendo una massa dell'argento, e del rame, e dello stagno, e del ferro, e del piombo nel mezzo della fornace per accendervi il fuoco, e liquefarvi. Cosi io nel furor mio, e nell'ira mia vi ragunerò, ed ivi vi abbandonerò, e vi squaglierò.
21 Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.	21 Vi raunerò, e vi abbrucerò col fuoco del mio furore, e in mezzo ad esso vi squaglierete.
22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.	22 Come si fonde l'argento nel mezzo della fornace, così voi in mezzo di Gerusalemme, e conoscerete, che son io il Signore, quando avrò versato sopra di voi la mia indignazione.
23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	23 E il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.	24 Figliuolo dell'uomo, dì a colei: Tu se' terra immonda, e non umettata nel giorno del furore.
25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.	25 Una congiura di profeti è in mezzo a lei: come lione, che rugge, e rapisce la preda, essi han divorate le anime: hanno avute ricche mercedi, ed hanno accresciuto il numero delle vedove dentro di lei.
26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.	26 I suoi sacerdoti han disprezzata la mia legge, ed han contaminati i miei santuari: non han saputo distinguere tral santo, e il profano, e non han conosciuto di vano trall'immondo, e il puro: e gli occhi chiusero alla violazione de' miei sabati, ed io era disonorato in mezzo ad essi.
27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.	27 I suoi principi in mezzo a lei, come lupi anelanti alla preda, a spargere il sangue, a rovinare le anime, a cercare guadagni alla propria avarizia.
28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.	28 Ma i profeti di lei intonacavano senza la necessaria mistura, spacciando a questi delle vane visioni, e delle bugiarde profezie, dicendo: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio, quando il Signore non ha parlato.
29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.	29 I popoli di questa terra inventavan calunnie, e rapivan con violenza l'altrui: contristavano il piccolo, e il povero, e il forestiero opprimevano con imposture senza giustizia.
30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.	30 E cercai tra lor d'un uomo, che frapponesse una siepe, e a me stesse a petto, affinchè io non la sterminassi; né lo trovai.
31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.	31 Ed io sparsi sopra di loro la mia indignazione: li consumai col fuoco dell'ira mia: le opere loro feci cadere sulle lor teste, dice il Signore Dio.
