Psalms 13

1 How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?	1 Ao mestre de canto. Salmo de Davi. Até quando, Senhor, de todo vos esquecereis de mim? Por quanto tempo ainda desviareis de mim os vossos olhares?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?	2 Até quando aninharei a angústia na minha alma, e, dia após dia, a tristeza no coração?
3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;	3 Até quando se levantará o meu inimigo contra mim? Olhai! Ouvi-me, Senhor, ó meu Deus!
4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.	4 Iluminai meus olhos com vossa luz, para eu não adormecer na morte, para que meu inimigo não venha a dizer: Venci-o;
5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.	5 e meus adversários não triunfem no momento de minha queda, eu que confiei em vossa misericórdia. Antes possa meu coração regozijar-se em vosso socorro!
6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.	6 Então cantarei ao Senhor pelos benefícios que me concedeu.
