1 How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?	1 Al maestro di coro. Salmo. Di Davide.
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?	2 Fino a quando, o Signore, mi terrai in oblìo? Per sempre? Fino a quando terrai il tuo volto nascosto da me?
3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;	3 Fino a quando volgerò pensieri nella mia anima, tristezza nel mio cuore tutto il giorno? Fino a quando s'ergerà il nemico su di me?
4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.	4 Guarda, rispondimi, o Signore mio Dio, da' luce ai miei occhi perché non dorma il sonno della morte,
5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.	5 perché non dica il mio nemico: "L'ho sopraffatto", e i miei avversari si rallegrino al mio vacillare.
6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.	6 Ma io nella tua misericordia confido; gioisca il mio cuore nella tua salvezza, e canti al Signore che mi ha beneficato.
