1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.	1 Così l'arca di Dio fu introdotta e collocata in mezzo alla tenda che Davide aveva eretto per essa, poi furono offerti olocausti e sacrifici pacifici dinanzi a Dio.
2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.	2 Quando Davide ebbe finito di offrire gli olocausti e i sacrifici pacifici, benedisse il popolo nel nome del Signore
3 And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.	3 e distribuì singolarmente a tutti gli Israeliti, uomini e donne, una pagnotta di pane, carne arrostita e una schiacciata di uva passa.
4 And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:	4 Egli stabilì che alcuni leviti stessero davanti all'arca di Dio, come ministri per celebrare, glorificare e lodare il Signore, Dio d'Israele:
5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;	5 Asaf, il capo, Zaccaria, il suo secondo, Uzzièl, Semiramot, Iechièl, Mattatia, Eliàb, Benaià, Obed-Edom e Ieièl, che suonavano strumenti musicali, arpe e cetre; Asaf suonava i cembali.
6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 I sacerdoti Benaià e Iacaziel suonavano continuamente le trombe davanti all'arca dell'alleanza di Dio.
7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.	7 Proprio in quel giorno Davide affidò per la prima volta ad Asaf ed ai suoi fratelli questa lode al Signore:
8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.	8 "Celebrate il Signore, invocate il suo nome; fate conoscere tra i popoli le sue gesta!
9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.	9 Cantate a lui, inneggiate in suo onore, narrate tutte le sue meraviglie.
10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.	10 Gloriatevi nel suo nome santo, si rallegri il cuore di quanti cercano il Signore.
11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.	11 Cercate il Signore e la sua potenza, ricercate il suo volto continuamente.
12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;	12 Ricordate le meraviglie che egli operò, i prodigi e le sentenze della sua bocca,
13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.	13 progenie di Israele, suo servo, figli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti!
14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.	14 Egli, il Signore, è il nostro Dio, su tutta la terra sono i suoi giudizi.
15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;	15 Ricordatevi sempre della sua alleanza, della parola che ordinò per mille generazioni,
16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;	16 dell'alleanza stipulata con Abramo, del suo giuramento fatto ad Isacco,
17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,	17 che stabilì per Giacobbe come uno statuto e per Israele come un'alleanza eterna,
18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;	18 dicendo: "A te darò il paese di Canaan come porzione della vostra eredità,
19 When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.	19 per quanto siate pochi di numero, pochi e inoltre stranieri nel paese".
20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;	20 Passarono da una nazione all'altra e da un regno a un altro popolo.
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,	21 Non permise che alcuno li opprimesse, anzi per causa loro punì dei re:
22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.	22 "Non toccate i miei consacrati, e non fate del male ai miei profeti".
23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.	23 Canta al Signore, terra intera, annuncia di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza!
24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.	24 Proclama fra le nazioni la sua gloria, fra tutti i popoli i suoi prodigi.
25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.	25 Sì, il Signore è grande e degnissimo di lode, tremendo sopra tutti gli dèi,
26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.	26 poiché tutti gli dèi delle genti sono un nulla, mentre il Signore ha fatto i cieli.
27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.	27 Splendore e maestà stanno davanti a lui, potenza e gioia nel suo santuario.
28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.	28 Rendete al Signore, o famiglie dei popoli, rendete al Signore gloria e potenza!
29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.	29 Rendete al Signore la gloria del suo nome, portate offerte e venite al suo cospetto! Adorate il Signore in ornamenti sacri!
30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.	30 Trema davanti a lui, o terra tutta, egli rende stabile il mondo così che non vacilli.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.	31 Si rallegrino i cieli ed esulti la terra, e dicano fra le nazioni: "Il Signore regna!".
32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.	32 Frema il mare e ciò che lo riempie, tripudi la campagna con quanto contiene!
33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.	33 Allora giubileranno gli alberi della foresta di fronte al Signore che viene, per giudicare la terra.
34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.	34 Celebrate il Signore, perché egli è buono, perché eterna è la sua bontà.
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.	35 Dite: "Salvaci, o Dio della nostra salvezza; raccoglici e liberaci dalle nazioni, perché possiamo celebrare il santo tuo nome, e gloriarci della tua lode.
36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.	36 Benedetto il Signore Dio d'Israele di eternità in eternità". E tutto il popolo disse: "Amen, alleluia".
37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:	37 Quindi Davide lasciò lì, davanti all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, Asaf ed i suoi fratelli, perché officiassero davanti all'arca continuamente secondo il rito quotidiano;
38 And Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:	38 lasciò anche Obed-Edom con i suoi fratelli, in numero di sessantotto. Obed-Edom, figlio di Idutun, e Cosà come portieri.
39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,	39 Al sacerdote Zadòk insieme ai suoi fratelli sacerdoti affidò il servizio della dimora del Signore che era sull'altura di Gabaon,
40 To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;	40 perché offrissero olocausti al Signore sull'altare degli olocausti, continuamente mattina e sera, secondo quanto è scritto nella legge che il Signore aveva ordinato ad Israele.
41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;	41 Con loro erano Eman, Idutun e gli altri eletti che erano stati designati per nome per lodare il Signore, "perché eterna è la sua bontà".
42 And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.	42 Essi avevano trombe e cembali per suonare ed altri strumenti per il canto divino, mentre i figli di Idutun si trovavano alla porta.
43 And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.	43 Infine tutto il popolo fece ritorno nella propria casa; e Davide ritornò per benedire la sua casa.
