1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.	1 Elhozták tehát Isten ládáját és elhelyezték annak a sátornak a közepén, amelyet Dávid felállíttatott neki, és egészen elégő és békeáldozatokat mutattak be az Úr előtt.
2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.	2 Amikor aztán befejezte Dávid az egészen elégő és a békeáldozatok bemutatását, megáldotta az Úr nevében a népet,
3 And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.	3 és mindenkinek, férfinak, asszonynak egyaránt, egy-egy kenyércipót, egy darab marhasültet s egy olajjal sütött kalácsot juttatott.
4 And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:	4 A leviták közül az Úr ládája elé rendelte, hogy szolgálatot teljesítsenek, az Úr tetteiről megemlékezzenek, az Urat, Izrael Istenét magasztalják és dicsérjék:
5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;	5 Ászáfot, a vezetőt, Zakariást, a helyettesét, továbbá Jáhielt, Semirámótot, Jejélt, Mattitját, Eliábot, Benaját és Obededomot. Jejélt, hogy a húros hangszereket és a lantokat, Ászáfot pedig, hogy a cintányérokat zengessék,
6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 Benája és Jáziel papokat pedig, hogy szüntelenül fújják a trombitákat az Úr szövetségének ládája előtt.
7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.	7 Aznap bízta meg Dávid először Ászáfot és testvéreit az Úr következő dicséretével:
8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.	8 »Dicsérjétek az Urat, kiáltsátok nevét, hirdessétek a népek közt tetteit.
9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.	9 Énekeljetek neki, zengedezzetek neki beszéljétek minden csodatettét.
10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.	10 Dicsekedjetek az ő szent nevével, örvendezzen az Urat keresők szíve.
11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.	11 Keressétek az Urat és erejét, keressétek arcát szüntelenül.
12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;	12 Emlékezzetek a csodákra, melyeket művelt, jeleire és szája ítéleteire,
13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.	13 ti, Izrael utódai, az ő szolgái, Jákob fiai, az ő választottai.
14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.	14 Ő, az Úr, a mi Istenünk, ő ítéli az egész földet.
15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;	15 Gondoljatok örökké szövetségére, szavára, amelyet ezer nemzedékre rendelt,
16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;	16 szövetségére, amit Ábrahámmal kötött, az esküre, amelyet Izsáknak tett.
17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,	17 Jákobnak parancsba adta azt, Izraelnek örök szövetségként,
18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;	18 mondván: ‘Neked adom Kánaán földjét örökségtek osztályrészeként.’
19 When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.	19 Noha szám szerint kevesen voltak, és zsellérként tartózkodtak rajta,
20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;	20 s nemzettől nemzethez vándoroltak, egyik országból a másiknak népéhez,
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,	21 senkinek sem engedte bántani őket, sőt fejedelmeket vert meg érettük,
22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.	22 mondván: ‘Ne bántsátok Felkentjeimet, prófétáimnak ne ártsatok.’
23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.	23 Országok, mindnyájan énekeljetek az Úrnak, szabadítását napról-napra hirdessétek,
24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.	24 beszéljetek a nemzetek közt dicsőségéről, valamennyi nép között csodatetteiről.
25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.	25 Mert nagy az Úr és igen méltó a dicséretre, s félelmetesebb minden istennél,
26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.	26 mert a népek istenei mind csak bálványok, egeket csak az Úr alkotott.
27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.	27 Dicsőség és fenség van előtte, erő és öröm az ő lakóhelyén.
28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.	28 Hódoljatok az Úrnak, népek nemzetségei, ismerjétek el az Úr dicsőségét s erejét,
29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.	29 ismerjétek el az Úrnak, nevének dicsőségét. Hozzatok áldozatot s jöjjetek színe elé, boruljatok szent ékességben az Úr elé.
30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.	30 Remegjen színétől az egész föld, mert ő vetette meg alapját a földnek, hogy ne ingadozzék.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.	31 Örvendjenek az egek, s ujjongjon a föld s mondják a nemzetek között: ‘Az Úr a király.’
32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.	32 Zúgjon a tenger s ami azt betölti. ujjongjanak a mezők s mindaz, ami rajtuk van.
33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.	33 Az erdő fái dicséretet mondanak majd az Úr előtt akkor, mivel eljön megítélni a földet.
34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.	34 Dicsérjétek az Urat, mert jó, mert irgalmassága örökkévaló,
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.	35 s mondjátok: ‘Szabadíts meg minket, szabadító Istenünk, gyűjts össze s szabadíts ki minket a pogányok közül, hogy dicsérjük szent neved, s ujjongva zengjük énekeidet.
36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.	36 Áldott legyen az Úr, Izrael Istene, öröktől fogva mindörökre.’« Azt mondja erre az egész nép: »Ámen« és »Dicsőség az Úrnak!«
37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:	37 Otthagyta tehát az Úr szövetségének ládája előtt Ászáfot és testvéreit, hogy szüntelenül, minden napnak s rendjüknek megfelelően szolgálatot teljesítsenek a láda előtt.
38 And Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:	38 Ugyanakkor Obededomot – éspedig Obededomot, Iditun fiát – és hatvannyolc testvérét meg Hószát ajtónállókká rendelte.
39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,	39 Szádok papot s paptestvéreit az Úr hajléka előtt, a gibeoni magaslaton hagyta,
40 To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;	40 hogy szüntelenül, reggel és este, egészen elégő áldozatot mutassanak be az Úrnak az egészen elégő áldozat oltárán, pontosan úgy, ahogy meg van írva az Úr törvényében, amelyet Izraelnek parancsolt.
41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;	41 Rajta kívül otthagyta Hemánt, Iditunt s a többieket, akiket név szerint kiválasztott, hogy dicsérjék az Urat, »mert irgalmassága örökkévaló«,
42 And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.	42 Hemánt és Iditunt, hogy trombitáljanak s a cintányérokat s az Istennek való énekléshez tartozó egyéb hangszereket zengessék, Iditun fiait pedig ajtónállókká tette.
43 And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.	43 Erre az egész nép hazatért, Dávid pedig elment, hogy a maga háza népét is megáldja.
