JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Cantique.Psaume. Des fils de Coré.	1 [Song Psalm Of the sons of Korah] Great is Yahweh and most worthy of praise in the city of our God,the holy mountain,
2 Grand, Yahvé, et louable hautement dans la ville de notre Dieu, le mont sacré,	2 towering in beauty, the joy of the whole world: Mount Zion in the heart of the north, the settlement ofthe great king;
3 superbe d'élan, joie de toute la terre; le mont Sion, coeur de l'Aquilon, cité du grand roi:	3 God himself among its palaces has proved himself its bulwark.
4 Dieu, du milieu de ses palais, s'est révélé citadelle.	4 For look, kings made al iance, together they advanced;
5 Voici, des rois s'étaient ligués, avançant à la fois;	5 without a second glance, when they saw, they panicked and fled away.
6 ils virent, et du coup stupéfaits, pris de panique, ils décampèrent.	6 Trembling seized them on the spot, pains like those of a woman in labour;
7 Là, un tremblement les saisit, un frisson d'accouchée,	7 it was the east wind, that wrecker of ships from Tarshish.
8 ce fut le vent d'est qui brise les vaisseaux de Tarsis.	8 What we had heard we saw for ourselves in the city of our God, in the city of Yahweh Sabaoth, whichGod has established for ever.Pause
9 Comme on nous l'avait dit, nous l'avons vu dans la ville de notre Dieu, dans la ville de YahvéSabaot; Dieu l'affermit à jamais.	9 We reflect on your faithful love, God, in your temple!
10 Nous méditons, Dieu, ton amour au milieu de ton Temple!	10 Both your name and your praise, God, are over the whole wide world. Your right hand is ful of savingjustice,
11 Comme ton nom, Dieu, ta louange, jusqu'au bout de la terre! Ta droite est remplie de justice,	11 Mount Zion rejoices, the daughters of Judah delight because of your saving justice.
12 le mont Sion jubile; les filles de Juda exultent devant tes jugements.	12 Go round Zion, walk right through her, count her bastions,
13 Longez Sion, parcourez-la, dénombrez ses tours;	13 admire her walls, examine her palaces, to tel future generations
14 que vos coeurs s'attachent à ses murs, détaillez ses palais; pour raconter aux âges futurs	14 that such is God; our God for ever and ever, he is our guide!
15 que lui est Dieu, notre Dieu aux siècles des siècles, lui, il nous conduit!
