1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace which is in Christ Jesus:	1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

3 Labour as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.	3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man, being a soldier to God, entangleth himself with secular businesses; that he may please him to whom he hath engaged himself.	4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 For he also that striveth for the mastery, is not crowned, except he strive lawfully.	5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

14 Of these things put them in mind, charging them before the Lord. 19 But the sure foundation of God standeth firm, having this seal: the Lord knoweth who are his; and let every one depart from iniquity who nameth the name of the Lord.	19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

26 And they may recover themselves from the snares of the devil, by whom they are held captive at his will.	26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
