11 And Josias begot Jechonias and his brethren in the transmigration of Babylon.	11 Josias engendra Jéchonias et ses frères, au temps de la déportation à Babylone.

And from David to the transmigration of Babylon, are fourteen generations: and from the transmigration of Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations.	17 En tout donc, depuis Abraham jusqu'à David, quatorze générations ; et depuis David jusqu'à la déportation à Babylone, quatorze générations ; et depuis la déportation à Babylone jusqu'au Christ, quatorze générations.
18 Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost.	18 Or la naissance du Christ eut lieu ainsi. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, saying: Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her, is of the Holy Ghost.	20 Et comme il y pensait, voici qu'un Ange du Seigneur lui apparut en songe, disant : Joseph, fils de David, ne crains pas de prendre avec toi Marie, ton Epouse ; car ce qui est né en Elle vient du Saint-Esprit.
21 And she shall bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his name JESUS. For he shall save his people from their sins.	21 Elle enfantera un fils, et tu Lui donneras le nom de Jésus ; car Il sauvera Son peuple de ses péchés.
22 Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which the Lord spoke by the prophet, saying:	22 Or tout cela arriva pour que s'accomplît ce que le Seigneur avait dit par le prophète, en ces termes :
23 Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.	23 Voici, la Vierge concevra, et Elle enfantera un Fils, et on Lui donnera le nom d'Emmanuel ; ce qui signifie : Dieu avec nous.
24 And Joseph rising up from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, and took unto him his wife.	24 Joseph, réveillé de son sommeil, fit ce que l'Ange du Seigneur lui avait ordonné, et prit son Epouse avec lui.
25 And he knew her not till she brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.	25 Et il ne L'avait point connue quand Elle enfanta Son Fils premier-né, auquel il donna le nom de Jésus.
