Psalms 95

1 Come let us praise the Lord with joy: let us joyfully sing to God our saviour.	1 VENITE, cantiamo lietamente al Signore; Giubiliamo alla Rocca della nostra salute.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.	2 Andiamogli incontro con lodi, Giubiliamogli con salmi.
3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.	3 Perciocchè il Signore è Dio grande, E Re grande sopra tutti gl’iddii.
4 For in his hand are all the ends of the earth: and the heights of the mountains are his.	4 Perciocchè egli tiene in mano le profondità della terra; E le altezze de’ monti sono sue.
5 For the sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.	5 Ed a lui appartiene il mare, perchè egli l’ha fatto; E l’asciutto, perchè le sue mani l’hanno formato.
6 Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us.	6 Venite, adoriamo, ed inchiniamoci; Inginocchiamoci davanti al Signore che ci ha fatti
7 For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.	7 Perciocchè egli è il nostro Dio; E noi siamo il popolo del suo pasco, E la greggia della sua condotta.
8 To day if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts:	8 Oggi, se udite la sua voce, Non indurate il vostro cuore, come in Meriba; Come al giorno di Massa, nel deserto;
9 As in the provocation, according to the day of temptation in the wilderness: where your fathers tempted me, they proved me, and saw my works.	9 Ove i padri vostri mi tentarono, Mi provarono, ed anche videro le mie opere.
10 Forty years long was I offended with that generation, and I said: These always err in heart.	10 Lo spazio di quarant’anni quella generazione mi fu di noia; Onde io dissi: Costoro sono un popolo sviato di cuore, E non conoscono le mie vie.
11 And these men have not known my ways: so I swore in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest.	11 Perciò giurai nell’ira mia: Se entrano giammai nel mio riposo
