1 Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and said:	1 Respondendo, Baldad de Suhé disse:
2 How long will you throw out words? understand first, and so let us speak.	2 Até quando dirás palavras vãs? Reflete primeiro, e depois falaremos.
3 Why are we reputed as beasts, and counted vile before you?	3 Por que nos consideras como animais, e nos tornas por estúpidos?
4 Thou that destroyest thy soul in thy fury, shall the earth be forsaken for thee, and shall rocks be removed out of their place?	4 Ó tu, que no teu furor te despedaças, porventura, por causa de ti, será despovoada a terra, e serão transferidos os rochedos do seu lugar?
5 Shall not the light of the wicked be extinguished, and the flame of his fire not shine?	5 Sim, é certo que a luz (ou prosperidade) do ímpio se apagará, e que não resplandecerá a chama do seu fogo.
6 The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and the lamp that is over him, shall be put out.	6 A luz se obscurecerá na sua casa, e a lâmpada (ou glória), que está sobre ele, se apagará.
7 The step of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down headlong.	7 Os seus passos firmes serão cortados, e o seu próprio conselho o precipitará.
8 For he hath thrust his feet into a net, and walketh in its meshes.	8 Prendem-se os seus pés na rede, anda entre as suas malhas.
9 The sole of his foot shall be held in a snare, and thirst shall burn against him.	9 O seu pé ficará preso pelo laço, ficará fortemente apertado.
10 A gin is hidden for him in the earth, and his trap upon the path.	10 Está-lhe escondido debaixo da terra o laço, e ao longo da vereda a armadilha,
11 Fears shall terrify him on every side, and shall entangle his feet.	11 De todas as partes o amedrontarão temores, e lhe enredarão os pés.
12 Let his strength be wasted with famine, and let hunger invade his ribs.
13 Let it devour the beauty of his skin, let the firstborn death consume his arms.	13 A pele do seu corpo será devorada; o primogênito da morte devorará os seus membros.
14 Let his confidence be rooted out of his tabernacle, and let destruction tread upon him like a king.	14 Será arrancado da sua tenda onde se julgava seguro, e a morte, como um rei, o calcará.
15 Let the companions of him that is not, dwell in his tabernacle, let brimstone be sprinkled in his tent.	15 Outros - não mais ele - habitarão na sua casa, e sobre a sua lenda se espalhará enxofre.
16 Let his roots be dried up beneath, and his harvest destroyed above.	16 Por baixo as suas raízes secarão, e por cima serão cortados os seus ramos.
17 Let the memory of him perish from the earth and let not his name be renowned in the streets.	17 Á sua memória perecerá da terra, e não será celebrado o seu nome na região.
18 He shall drive him out of light into darkness, and shall remove him out of the world.	18 Será arrojado da luz para as trevas, será desterrado do mundo.
19 His seed shall not subsist, nor his offspring among his people, nor any remnants in his country.	19 Não terá nem descendência nem família no seu povo, nem relíquia alguma no seu pais.
20 They that come after him shall be astonished at his day, and horror shall fall upon them that went before.	20 Os últimos pasmarão do seu dia (de ruína), e os primeiros serão invadidos pelo horror.
21 These men are the tabernacles of the wicked, and this the place of him that knoweth not God.	21 Tais serão as moradas do ímpio, tal é o lugar daquele que não conhece (nem teme) a Deus.
