EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Yo te conjuro delante de Dios y de Cristo Jesús, que ha de juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos, y en nombre de su Manifestación y de su Reino:	1 I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom:
2 proclama la Palabra de Dios, insiste con ocasión o sin ella, arguye, reprende, exhorta, con paciencia incansable y con afán de enseñar.	2 Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine.
3 Porque llegará el tiempo en que los hombres no soportarán más la sana doctrina; por el contrario, llevados por sus inclinaciones, se procurarán una multitud de maestros	3 For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears:
4 que les halaguen los oídos, y se apartarán de la verdad para escuchar cosas fantasiosas.	4 And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables.
5 Tú, en cambio, vigila atentamente, soporta todas las pruebas, realiza tu tarea como predicador del Evangelio, cumple a la perfección tu ministerio.	5 But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry. Be sober.
6 Yo ya estoy a punto de ser derramado como una libación, y el momento de mi partida se aproxima:	6 For I am even now ready to be sacrificed: and the time of my dissolution is at hand.
7 he peleado hasta el fin el buen combate, concluí mi carrera, conservé la fe.	7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
8 Y ya está preparada para mí la corona de justicia, que el Señor, como justo Juez, me dará en ese Día, y no solamente a mí, sino a todos los que hay aguardado con amor su Manifestación.	8 As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice, which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming. Make haste to come to me quickly.
9 Ven a verme lo más pronto posible,	9 For Demas hath left me, loving this world, and is gone to Thessalonica:
10 porque Demas me ha abandonado por amor a este mundo. El se fue a Tesalónica, Crescente emprendió viaje a Galacia, y Tito, a Dalmacia.	10 Crescens into Galatia, Titus into Dalmatia.
11 Solamente Lucas se ha quedado conmigo. Trae contigo a Marcos, porque me prestará buenos servicios.	11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
12 A Tíquico lo envié a Efeso.	12 But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
13 Cuando vengas, tráeme la capa que dejé en Tróade, en la casa de Carpo, y también los libros, sobre todo, los rollos de pergamino.	13 The cloak that I left at Troas, with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, especially the parchments.
14 Alejandro, el herrero, me ha hecho mucho daño: el Señor le pagará conforme a sus obras.	14 Alexander the coppersmith hath done me much evil: the Lord will reward him according to his works:
15 Ten cuidado de él, porque se opuesto encarnizadamente a nuestra enseñanza.	15 Whom do thou also avoid, for he hath greatly withstood our words.
16 Cuando hice mi primera defensa, nadie me acompañó, sino que todos me abandonaron. ¡Ojalá que no les sea tenido en cuenta!	16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge.
17 Pero el Señor estuvo a mi lado, dándome fuerzas, para que el mensaje fuera proclamado por mi intermedio y llegara a oídos de todos los paganos. Así fui librado de la boca del león.	17 But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching may be accomplished, and that all the Gentiles may hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 El Señor me librará de todo mal y me preservará hasta que entre en su Reino celestial. ¡A él sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos! Amén.	18 The Lord hath delivered me from every evil work: and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
19 Saludos a Prisca y a Aquila, y a la familia de Onesíforo.	19 Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
20 Erasto se quedó en Corinto, y a Trófimo lo dejé enfermo en Mileto. Apresúrate a venir antes del invierno.	20 Erastus remained at Corinth. And Trophimus I left sick at Miletus.
21 Te saludan Eubulo, Pudente, Lino, Claudia y todos los hermanos.	21 Make haste to come before winter Eubulus and Pudens, and Linus and Claudia, and all the brethren, salute thee.
22 El Señor esté contigo. La gracia esté con ustedes.	22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
