BIBLES DES PEUPLESNEW AMERICAN BIBLE
26:5 Au monde d’en bas les Ombres tremblent, les océans s’effrayent avec leurs habitants;1 Then Job spoke again and said:
26:6 le royaume des morts est à nu devant lui, la Mort en personne ne peut se cacher.2 What help you give to the powerless, what strength to the feeble arm!
26:7 Il a fixé le pôle céleste au dessus du vide et suspendu la terre sur rien.3 How you counsel, as though he had no wisdom; how profuse is the advice you offer!
26:8 Il enferme les eaux dans ses nuages, et la nuée ne crève pas sous leur poids.4 With whose help have you uttered those words, and whose is the breath that comes forth from you?
26:9 Il cache le visage de la pleine lune, déployant sur elle les nues.5 The shades beneath writhe in terror, the waters, and their inhabitants.
26:10 Il a tracé l’horizon sur la face des eaux, pour séparer la lumière des ténèbres.6 Naked before him is the nether world, and Abaddon has no covering.
26:11 Les colonnes des cieux se mettent à trembler, elles s’épouvantent s’il les menace.7 He stretches out the North over empty space, and suspends the earth over nothing at all;
26:12 Il a eu la force pour fendre la mer, l’intelligence, pour écraser son dragon.8 He binds up the waters in his clouds, yet the cloud is not rent by their weight;
26:13 Par son souffle le ciel est nettoyé, sa main a percé le Serpent qui toujours fuit.9 He holds back the appearance of the full moon by spreading his clouds before it.
26:14 Mais ce n’est là que l’extérieur de ses œuvres, nous n’en percevons que les échos. Qui comprendra lorsque tonne sa puissance?10 He has marked out a circle on the surface of the deep as the boundary of light and darkness.
26:1 Job prit la parole et dit:11 The pillars of the heavens tremble and are stunned at his thunderous rebuke;
26:2 Comme tu sais bien venir en aide au faible, encourager celui à qui tombent les bras!12 By his power he stirs up the sea, and by his might he crushes Rahab;
26:3 Comme tu sais conseiller un ignorant, tu as vraiment réponse à tout!13 With his angry breath he scatters the waters, and he hurls the lightning against them relentlessly; His hand pierces the fugitive dragon as from his hand it strives to flee.
26:4 Mais, au fait, pour qui ces paroles? Qui te pousse à parler ainsi?14 Lo, these are but the outlines of his ways, and how faint is the word we hear!
