1 Miktam. Davidov. Čuvaj me, Bože, jer se tebi utječem.	1 [In a quiet voice Of David] Protect me, O God, in you is my refuge.
2 Jahvi rekoh: »Ti si moj gospodar, nema mi blaženstva bez tebe!«	2 To Yahweh I say, 'You are my Lord, my happiness is in none
3 Za svetima što su u zemlji sav plamtim od čežnje!	3 of the sacred spirits of the earth.' They only take advantage of al who love them.
4 Gomilaju patnje moje koji slijede bogove tuđe. Ja im ljevanicâ nalijevat’ neću, ime im spominjat’ neću usnama.	4 People flock to their teeming idols. Never shal I pour libations to them! Never take their names on mylips.
5 Jahve mi je baština i kalež: Ti u ruci držiš moju sudbinu.	5 My birthright, my cup is Yahweh; you, you alone, hold my lot secure.
6 Na divnu zemlju padoše mi konopi, vrlo mi je mila moja baština.	6 The measuring-line marks out for me a delightful place, my birthright is al I could wish.
7 Blagoslivljam Jahvu koji me svjetuje te me i noću srce opominje.	7 I bless Yahweh who is my counsel or, even at night my heart instructs me.
8 Jahve mi je svagda pred očima; jer mi je zdesna, neću posrnuti.	8 I keep Yahweh before me always, for with him at my right hand, nothing can shake me.
9 Stog’ mi se raduje srce i kliče duša, i tijelo mi spokojno počiva.	9 So my heart rejoices, my soul delights, my body too wil rest secure,
10 Jer mi nećeš ostavit’ dušu u podzemlju ni dati da pravednik tvoj truleži ugleda.	10 for you wil not abandon me to Sheol, you cannot al ow your faithful servant to see the abyss.
11 Pokazat ćeš mi stazu u život, puninu radosti pred licem svojim, sebi zdesna blaženstvo vječno.	11 You wil teach me the path of life, unbounded joy in your presence, at your right hand delight for ever.
