Псалмів 52

1 Провідникові хору. Маскіл. Давида,	1 Unto the end. For Mahalath: the thoughts of David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
2 як прийшов був едомій Доег і звістив Саулові, кажучи до нього: «Давид прийшов у дім Авімелеха».	2 They were corrupted, and they became abominable with iniquities. There is no one who does good.
3 Чого ти злобою хвалишся, о витязю безславний?	3 God gazed down from heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who were considering or seeking God.
4 Ввесь час ти мислиш про погибель; язик твій — немов гостра бритва, майстер облуди.	4 All have gone astray; together they have become useless. There is no one who does good; there is not even one.
5 Ти любиш зло більш, ніж добро, брехню більше, ніж правду.	5 Will they never learn: all those who work iniquity, who devour my people like a meal of bread?
6 Погибельні лише любиш речі, язику лукавий.	6 They have not called upon God. In that place, they have trembled in fear, where there was no fear. For God has scattered the bones of those who please men. They have been confounded, because God has spurned them.
7 Тому і Бог знищить тебе, знівечить тебе навіки; вирве тебе з намету і викорінить тебе з землі живих.	7 Who will grant from Zion the salvation of Israel? Jacob will exult, when God will convert the captivity of his people; and Israel will rejoice.
8 Побачать праведники й настрашаться і будуть сміятись із нього:
9 «Ось чоловік, що не мав Бога за свою твердиню, що покладався на своє багатство превелике, своїми лиходійствами був сильний».
10 Я ж — мов те буйне дерево оливне в домі Божім; надіюсь на ласку Божу повік-віки,
11 Я прославлятиму тебе повіки, за те, що вчинив єси, і возвіщатиму ім’я твоє, — воно бо добре, — перед вірними твоїми.
