2 Timothy 3

1 And know this: that in the last days perilous times will press near.	1 OR sappi questo, che negli ultimi giorni sopraggiungeranno tempi difficili.
2 Men will be lovers of themselves, greedy, self-exalting, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked,	2 Perciocchè gli uomini saranno amatori di loro stessi, avari, vanagloriosi, superbi, bestemmiatori, disubbidienti a padri e madri, ingrati, scellerati;
3 without affection, without peace, false accusers, unchaste, cruel, without kindness,	3 senza affezion naturale, mancatori di fede, calunniatori, incontinenti, spietati, senza amore inverso i buoni;
4 traitorous, reckless, self-important, loving pleasure more than God,	4 traditori, temerari, gonfi, amatori della voluttà anzi che di Dio;
5 even having the appearance of piety while rejecting its virtue. And so, avoid them.	5 avendo apparenza di pietà, ma avendo rinnegata la forza d’essa; anche tali schiva.
6 For among these are ones who penetrate houses and lead away, like captives, foolish women burdened with sins, who are led away by means of various desires,	6 Perciocchè del numero di costoro son quelli che sottentrano nelle case, e cattivano donnicciuole cariche di peccati, agitate da varie cupidità;
7 always learning, yet never achieving knowledge of the truth.	7 le quali sempre imparano, giammai non possono pervenire alla conoscenza della verità.
8 And in the same manner that Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so also will these resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobates from the faith.	8 Ora, come Ianne e Iambre contrastarono a Mosè, così ancora costoro contrastano alla verità; uomini corrotti della mente, riprovati intorno alla fede.
9 But they will not advance beyond a certain point. For the folly of the latter shall be made manifest to all, just as that of the former.	9 Ma non procederanno più oltre; perciocchè la loro stoltizia sarà manifesta a tutti, siccome ancora fu quella di coloro
10 But you have fully comprehended my doctrine, instruction, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,	10 ORA, quant’è a te, tu hai ben compresa la mia dottrina, il mio procedere, le mie intenzioni, la mia fede, la mia pazienza, la mia carità, la mia sofferenza;
11 persecutions, afflictions; such things as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra; how I endured persecutions, and how the Lord rescued me from everything.	11 le mie persecuzioni, le mie afflizioni, quali mi sono avvenute in Antiochia, in Iconio, in Listri; tu sai quali persecuzioni io ho sostenute; e pure il Signore mi ha liberato, da tutte.
12 And all those who willingly live the piety in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.	12 Ora, tutti quelli ancora, che voglion vivere piamente in Cristo Gesù, saranno perseguitati.
13 But evil men and deceivers will advance in evil, erring and sending into error.	13 Ma gli uomini malvagi ed ingannatori, procederanno in peggio, seducendo, ed essendo sedotti.
14 Yet truly, you should remain in those things which you have learned and which have been entrusted to you. For you know from whom you have learned them.	14 Ma tu, persevera nelle cose che hai imparate, e delle quali sei stato accertato, sapendo da chi tu le hai imparate;
15 And, from your infancy, you have known the Sacred Scriptures, which are able to instruct you toward salvation, through the faith which is in Christ Jesus.	15 e che da fanciullo tu hai conoscenza delle sacre lettere, le quali ti possono render savio a salute, per la fede che è in Cristo Gesù.
16 All Scripture, having been divinely inspired, is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in justice,	16 Tutta la scrittura è divinamente inspirata, ed utile ad insegnare, ad arguire, a correggere, ad ammaestrare in giustizia;
17 so that the man of God may be perfect, having been trained for every good work.	17 acciocchè l’uomo di Dio sia compiuto, appieno fornito per ogni buona opera
