Unto the end. A Canticle Psalm of the Resurrection. Shout joyfully to God, all the earth.1 Al maestro del coro. Salmo. Di Davide. Canto.
Proclaim a psalm to his name. Give glory to his praise.2 Per te il silenzio è lode, o Dio, in Sion,a te si sciolgono i voti.
Exclaim to God, “How terrible are your works, O Lord!” According to the fullness of your virtue, your enemies will speak lies about you.3 A te, che ascolti la preghiera, viene ogni mortale.
Let all the earth adore you and sing psalms to you. May it sing a psalm to your name.4 Pesano su di noi le nostre colpe,ma tu perdoni i nostri delitti.
Draw near and see the works of God, who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.5 Beato chi hai scelto perché ti stia vicino:abiterà nei tuoi atri.Ci sazieremo dei beni della tua casa, delle cose sacre del tuo tempio.
He converts the sea into dry land. They will cross the river on foot. There, we will rejoice in him.6 Con i prodigi della tua giustizia,tu ci rispondi, o Dio, nostra salvezza, fiducia degli estremi confini della terrae dei mari più lontani.
He rules by his virtue for eternity. His eyes gaze upon the nations. May those who exasperate him, not be exalted in themselves.7 Tu rendi saldi i monti con la tua forza, cinto di potenza.
Bless our God, you Gentiles, and make the voice of his praise be heard.8 Tu plachi il fragore del mare,il fragore dei suoi flutti,il tumulto dei popoli.
He has set my soul toward life, and he has granted that my feet may not be shaken.9 Gli abitanti degli estremi confinisono presi da timore davanti ai tuoi segni:tu fai gridare di gioiale soglie dell’oriente e dell’occidente.
For you, O God, have tested us. You have examined us by fire, just as silver is examined.10 Tu visiti la terra e la disseti,la ricolmi di ricchezze.Il fiume di Dio è gonfio di acque;tu prepari il frumento per gli uomini.Così prepari la terra:
You have led us into a snare. You have placed tribulations on our back.11 ne irrighi i solchi, ne spiani le zolle,la bagni con le piogge e benedici i suoi germogli.
You have set men over our heads. We have crossed through fire and water. And you have led us out to refreshment.12 Coroni l’anno con i tuoi benefici,i tuoi solchi stillano abbondanza.
I will enter your house with holocausts. I will repay my vows to you,13 Stillano i pascoli del desertoe le colline si cingono di esultanza.
which my lips discerned and my mouth spoke, in my tribulation.14 I prati si coprono di greggi,le valli si ammantano di messi:gridano e cantano di gioia!
I will offer to you holocausts full of marrow, with the burnt offerings of rams. I will offer to you bulls as well as goats.
Draw near and listen, all you who fear God, and I will describe to you how much he has done for my soul.
I cried out to him with my mouth, and I extolled him under my breath.
If I have seen iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not heed me.
And yet, God has heeded me and he has attended to the voice of my supplication.
Blessed is God, who has not removed my prayer, nor his mercy, from me.
