Psalms 122

1 A Canticle in steps. I have lifted up my eyes to you, who dwells in the heavens.	1 Canto delle ascensioni. Di Davide. Mi rallegrai quando mi dissero: "Andremo alla casa del Signore".
2 Behold, as the eyes of the servants are on the hands of their masters, as the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress, so our eyes are upon the Lord our God, until he may be merciful to us.	2 E ora i nostri piedi sono nell'interno delle tue porte, Gerusalemme!
3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us. For we have been filled with utter disdain.	3 Gerusalemme costruita come città, in sé ben compatta!
4 For our soul has been greatly filled. We are the disgrace of those who have abundance and the disdain of the arrogant.	4 Là salivano le tribù, le tribù del Signore, secondo il precetto dato a Israele di lodarvi il nome del Signore.
	5 Sì, là s'ergevano i seggi del giudizio, i seggi della casa di Davide.
	6 Augurate la pace a Gerusalemme: vivano in prosperità quanti ti amano!
	7 Sia pace fra le tue mura, prosperità fra i tuoi palazzi.
	8 Per amore dei miei fratelli e amici dirò: Sia pace in te! Per amore della casa del Signore, nostro Dio, chiederò: Sia bene per te!
