Sacharja 10

1 Bittet den Herrn um Regen zur Zeit des Spätregens! Der Herr macht die Gewitterwolken und gibt ihnen Regenwasser, dem Menschen Pflanzenwuchs auf dem Feld.	1 Ask rain from the LORD in the season of the spring rain, from the LORD who makes the storm clouds, who gives men showers of rain, to every one the vegetation in the field.
2 Doch Götzenbilder reden nur Schlechtes, und Wahrsager schauen nur Lüge; leere Träume erzählen sie, nichtigen Trost spenden sie. Darum ziehen die Leute dahin gleich einer Herde, irren umher, weil kein Hirte da ist.	2 For the teraphim utter nonsense, and the diviners see lies; the dreamers tell false dreams, and give empty consolation. Therefore the people wander like sheep; they are afflicted for want of a shepherd.
3 "Gegen die Hirten entbrennt mein Zorn, und gegen die Leitböcke schreite ich ein!" Denn der Herr der Heerscharen schaut nach seiner Herde, dem Hause Juda, und macht sie gleichsam zu seinem prächtigen Streitroß.	3 "My anger is hot against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; for the LORD of hosts cares for his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them like his proud steed in battle.
4 Aus ihr geht der Eckstein hervor, aus ihr der Zeltpflock, aus ihr der Kriegsbogen, aus ihr jeglicher Anführer.	4 Out of them shall come the cornerstone, out of them the tent peg, out of them the battle bow, out of them every ruler.
5 Insgesamt werden sie sein wie Helden, die im Kriege (die Feinde) zertreten wie Gassenkot. Sie führen den Kampf, denn der Herr ist mit ihnen; zuschanden werden die Reiter zu Roß.	5 Together they shall be like mighty men in battle, trampling the foe in the mud of the streets; they shall fight because the LORD is with them, and they shall confound the riders on horses.
6 "Dem Hause Juda gebe ich Heldenkraft, dem Hause Joseph bringe ich Hilfe. Ich führe sie zurück, weil mich ihrer erbarmt; sie werden sein, als hätte ich sie niemals verstoßen. Denn ich bin der Herr, ihr Gott, und will sie erhören.	6 "I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back because I have compassion on them, and they shall be as though I had not rejected them; for I am the LORD their God and I will answer them.
7 Einem Kriegshelden wird Ephraim gleichen. Fröhlich sein wird ihr Herz wie vom Wein; ihre Söhne werden es schauen mit Freude; ihr Herz wird jubeln im Herrn.	7 Then Ephraim shall become like a mighty warrior, and their hearts shall be glad as with wine. Their children shall see it and rejoice, their hearts shall exult in the LORD.
8 Ich will sie locken und sammeln, da ich sie losgekauft habe; sie sollen so zahlreich werden wie ehedem.	8 "I will signal for them and gather them in, for I have redeemed them, and they shall be as many as of old.
9 Ich hatte sie unter die Völker zerstreut; doch in der Ferne gedenken sie meiner, ziehen ihre Kinder groß und kehren zurück.	9 Though I scattered them among the nations, yet in far countries they shall remember me, and with their children they shall live and return.
10 Ich führe sie heim aus dem Land Ägypten und werde sie sammeln aus Assur. Nach dem Land Gilead und zum Libanon bringe ich sie; aber es reicht für sie nicht aus.	10 I will bring them home from the land of Egypt, and gather them from Assyria; and I will bring them to the land of Gilead and to Lebanon, till there is no room for them.
11 Sie werden durch das Meer Ägyptens ziehen und die Wogen im Meere schlagen; alle Tiefen des Nils werden zuschanden. Gestürzt wird Assurs stolze Pracht, und das Zepter weicht von Ägypten.	11 They shall pass through the sea of Egypt, and the waves of the sea shall be smitten, and all the depths of the Nile dried up. The pride of Assyria shall be laid low, and the scepter of Egypt shall depart.
12 Ich mache sie stark im Herrn, und seines Namens rühmen sie sich" - Spruch des Herrn.	12 I will make them strong in the LORD and they shall glory in his name," says the LORD.
