1 Von David, ein Psalm.Von Gnade und Recht will ich singen,dir, o HERR, will ich spielen!	1 A psalm of David. I sing of love and justice; to you, LORD, I sing praise.
2 Achten will ich auf fehllosen Wandel - wann wirst du zu mir kommen?In Herzensreinheit will ich wandelnim Innern meines Hauses.	2 I follow the way of integrity; when will you come to me? I act with integrity of heart within my royal court.
3 Ich will nicht mein Auge gerichtet haltenauf schandbare Dinge;das Tun der Abtrünnigen hasse ich:es soll mir nicht anhaften.	3 I do not allow into my presence anyone who speaks perversely. Whoever acts shamefully I hate; no such person can be my friend.
4 Ein falsches Herz soll fern von mir bleiben,einen Bösen will ich nicht kennen.	4 I shun the devious of heart; the wicked I do not tolerate.
5 Wer seinen Nächsten heimlich verleumdet,den will ich zum Schweigen bringen;wer stolze Augen hat und ein hoffärtig Herz,den werde ich nicht ertragen.	5 Whoever slanders another in secret I reduce to silence. Haughty eyes and arrogant hearts I cannot endure.
6 Meine Augen sollen blicken auf die Treuen im Lande:die sollen bei mir wohnen;wer auf frommen Wege wandelt,der soll mir dienen.	6 I look to the faithful of the land; they alone can be my companions. Those who follow the way of integrity, they alone can enter my service.
7 Nicht darf inmitten meines Hauses weilen,wer Trug verübt;wer Lügen redet, soll nicht bestehnvor meinen Augen.	7 No one who practices deceit can hold a post in my court. No one who speaks falsely can be among my advisors.
8 Jeden Morgen (= Tag für Tag) will ich unschädlich machenalle Frevler im Lande,um auszurotten aus der Stadt des HERRNalle Übeltäter.	8 Each morning I clear the wicked from the land, and rid the LORD'S city of all evildoers.
