1 Salmo di David, cantato da lui al Signore a motivo delle parole di Chus figliuolo di Jemini. Signore, Dio mio, in te ho posta la mia speranza: salvami, e liberami da tutti coloro, che mi perseguitano.	1 [Lament Of David Which he sang to Yahweh about Cush the Benjaminite] Yahweh my God, I takerefuge in you, save me from al my pursuers and rescue me,
2 Affinchè qual lione non faccia preda dell'anima mia, quando non siavi chi porti liberazione, e salute.	2 or he wil savage me like a lion, carry me off with no one to rescue me.
3 Signore, Dio mio, se io ho fatta tal cosa, se havvi nelle mani mie iniquità;	3 Yahweh my God, if I have done this: if injustice has stained my hands,
4 Se male ho renduto a coloro, che a me ne facevano, cada io giustamente senza pro sotto de' miei nemici.	4 if I have repaid my al y with treachery or spared one who attacked me unprovoked,
5 Perseguiti l'inimico l'anima mia, mi raggiunga, e calpesti insiem colla terra la mia vita, e riduca in polvere la mia gloria.	5 may an enemy hunt me down and catch me, may he trample my life into the ground and crush my vitalparts into the dust.Pause
6 Levati su, o Signore, nell'ira tua, e fa mostra di tua grandezza in mezzo a' miei nemici. E levati su, o Signore, Dio mio, secondo la legge stabilita da te:	6 Arise, Yahweh, in your anger, rise up against the arrogance of my foes. Awake, my God, you demandjudgement.
7 E la moltitudine delle nazioni si adunerà intorno a te. E per amor di questa ritorna nell'alto:	7 Let the assembly of nations gather round you; return above it on high!
8 Il Signore fa giudizio dei popoli. Fammi ragione, o Signore, secondo la mia giustizia, e secondo l'innocenza che è in me.	8 (Yahweh judges the nations.) Judge me, Yahweh, as my uprightness and my integrity deserve.
9 La malvagità de' peccatori avrà fine, e sarai guida del giusto, tu, o Dio, che penetri i cuori, e gli affetti.	9 Put an end to the malice of the wicked, make the upright stand firm, you who discern hearts and minds,God the upright.
10 Il mio soccorso giustamente (aspetto) dal Signore, il quale salva coloro, che sono schietti di cuore.	10 God is a shield that protects me, saving the honest of heart.
11 Dio giusto Giudice, forte, e paziente si adira egli forse ogni dì?	11 God is an upright judge, slow to anger, but a God at al times threatening
12 Se voi non vi convertirete, egli ruoterà la sua spada: ha teso il suo Arco, e lo tien preparato.	12 for those who wil not repent. Let the enemy whet his sword, draw his bow and make ready;
13 E con esso ha preparati strumenti di morte; le sue frecce ha formate per quelli, che spiran fiamme.	13 but he is making ready instruments of death for himself and tipping his arrows with fire;
14 Ecco che quegli ha partorito l'ingiustizia, ha conceputo dolore, ed ha partorito l'iniquità.	14 look at him: pregnant with malice, conceiving spite, he gives birth to treachery.
15 Ha aperta, e scavata la fossa, e nella fossa, che ha fatto, egli è caduto.	15 He digs a trap, scoops it out, but he fal s into the snare he made himself.
16 Il suo dolore ritornerà sul capo di lui, e sulla testa di lui cadrà la sua iniquità.	16 His spite recoils on his own head, his brutality falls back on his own skul .
17 Glorificherò il Signore per la sua giustizia, e al nome del Signore altissimo canterò inni di laude.	17 I thank Yahweh for his saving justice. I sing to the name of the Most High.
