ψαλμος τω δαυιδ ον ησεν τω κυριω υπερ των λογων χουσι υιου ιεμενι | 1 A Psalm of David, which he sang to the Lord because of the words of Cush, the son of Jemini. |
κυριε ο θεος μου επι σοι ηλπισα σωσον με εκ παντων των διωκοντων με και ρυσαι με | 2 O Lord, my God, in you I have hoped. Save me from all those who persecute me, and free me: |
μηποτε αρπαση ως λεων την ψυχην μου μη οντος λυτρουμενου μηδε σωζοντος | 3 lest at any time, like a lion, he might seize my soul, while there is no one to redeem me, nor any who can save. |
κυριε ο θεος μου ει εποιησα τουτο ει εστιν αδικια εν χερσιν μου | 4 O Lord, my God, if there is iniquity in my hands, if I have done this: |
ει ανταπεδωκα τοις ανταποδιδουσιν μοι κακα αποπεσοιν αρα απο των εχθρων μου κενος | 5 if I have repaid those who rendered evils to me, may I deservedly fall away empty before my enemies: |
καταδιωξαι αρα ο εχθρος την ψυχην μου και καταλαβοι και καταπατησαι εις γην την ζωην μου και την δοξαν μου εις χουν κατασκηνωσαι διαψαλμα | 6 let the enemy pursue my soul, and take hold of it, and trample my life into the earth, and drag down my glory into the dust. |
αναστηθι κυριε εν οργη σου υψωθητι εν τοις περασι των εχθρων μου εξεγερθητι κυριε ο θεος μου εν προσταγματι ω ενετειλω | 7 Rise up, Lord, in your anger. And be exalted to the borders of my enemies. And rise up, O Lord my God, according to the precept that you commanded, |
και συναγωγη λαων κυκλωσει σε και υπερ ταυτης εις υψος επιστρεψον | 8 and a congregation of people will surround you. And, because of this, return on high. |
κυριος κρινει λαους κρινον με κυριε κατα την δικαιοσυνην μου και κατα την ακακιαν μου επ' εμοι | 9 The Lord judges the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice and according to my innocence within me. |
συντελεσθητω δη πονηρια αμαρτωλων και κατευθυνεις δικαιον εταζων καρδιας και νεφρους ο θεος | 10 The wickedness of sinners will be consumed, and you will direct the just: the examiner of hearts and temperaments is God. |
δικαια η βοηθεια μου παρα του θεου του σωζοντος τους ευθεις τη καρδια | 11 Just is my help from the Lord, who saves the upright of heart. |
ο θεος κριτης δικαιος και ισχυρος και μακροθυμος μη οργην επαγων καθ' εκαστην ημεραν | 12 God is a just judge, strong and patient. How could he be angry throughout every day? |
εαν μη επιστραφητε την ρομφαιαν αυτου στιλβωσει το τοξον αυτου ενετεινεν και ητοιμασεν αυτο | 13 Unless you will be converted, he will brandish his sword. He has extended his bow and made it ready. |
και εν αυτω ητοιμασεν σκευη θανατου τα βελη αυτου τοις καιομενοις εξειργασατο | 14 And with it, he has prepared instruments of death. He has produced his arrows for those on fire. |
ιδου ωδινησεν αδικιαν συνελαβεν πονον και ετεκεν ανομιαν | 15 Behold him who has given birth to injustice: he has conceived sorrow and has begotten iniquity. |
λακκον ωρυξεν και ανεσκαψεν αυτον και εμπεσειται εις βοθρον ον ειργασατο | 16 He has opened a pit and enlarged it. And he has fallen into the hole that he made. |
επιστρεψει ο πονος αυτου εις κεφαλην αυτου και επι κορυφην αυτου η αδικια αυτου καταβησεται | 17 His sorrow will be turned upon his own head, and his iniquity will descend upon his highest point. |
εξομολογησομαι κυριω κατα την δικαιοσυνην αυτου και ψαλω τω ονοματι κυριου του υψιστου | 18 I will confess to the Lord according to his justice, and I will sing a psalm to the name of the Lord Most High. |
