Psalms 116

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.	1 Alleluia! J'aime, lorsque Yahvé entend le cri de ma prière,
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.	2 lorsqu'il tend l'oreille vers moi, le jour où j'appelle.
3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.	3 Les lacets de la mort m'enserraient, les filets du shéol; l'angoisse et l'affliction me tenaient,
4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.	4 j'appelai le nom de Yahvé. De grâce, Yahvé, délivre mon âme!
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.	5 Yahvé a pitié, il est juste, notre Dieu est tendresse;
6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.	6 Yahvé protège les simples, je faiblissais, il m'a sauvé.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.	7 Retourne, mon âme, à ton repos, car Yahvé t'a fait du bien.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.	8 Il a gardé mon âme de la mort, mes yeux des larmes et mes pieds du faux pas:
9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.	9 je marcherai à la face de Yahvé sur la terre des vivants.
10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:	10 Je crois lors même que je dis: "Je suis trop malheureux",
11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.	11 moi qui ai dit dans mon trouble: "Tout homme n'est que mensonge."
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?	12 Comment rendrai-je à Yahvé tout le bien qu'il m'a fait?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.	13 J'élèverai la coupe du salut, j'appellerai le nom de Yahvé.
14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.	14 J'accomplirai mes voeux envers Yahvé, oui, devant tout son peuple!
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.	15 Elle coûte aux yeux de Yahvé, la mort de ses amis.
16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.	16 De grâce, Yahvé, je suis ton serviteur, je suis ton serviteur fils de ta servante, tu as défait mesliens.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.	17 Je t'offrirai le sacrifice d'action de grâces, j'appellerai le nom de Yahvé.
18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,	18 J'accomplirai mes voeux envers Yahvé, oui, devant tout son peuple,
19 In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.	19 dans les parvis de la maison de Yahvé, au milieu de toi, Jérusalem!
