Die Offenbarung 4

EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Danach sah ich: Eine Tür war geöffnet am Himmel; und die Stimme, die vorher zu mir gesprochen hatte und die wie eine Posaune klang, sagte: Komm herauf und ich werde dir zeigen, was dann geschehen muss.	1 Then, in my vision, I saw a door open in heaven and heard the same voice speaking to me, the voicelike a trumpet, saying, 'Come up here: I will show you what is to take place in the future.'
2 Sogleich wurde ich vom Geist ergriffen. Und ich sah: Ein Thron stand im Himmel; auf dem Thron saß einer,	2 With that, I fel into ecstasy and I saw a throne standing in heaven, and the One who was sitting on thethrone,
3 der wie ein Jaspis und ein Karneol aussah. Und über dem Thron wölbte sich ein Regenbogen, der wie ein Smaragd aussah.	3 and the One sitting there looked like a diamond and a ruby. There was a rainbow encircling the throne,and this looked like an emerald.
4 Und rings um den Thron standen vierundzwanzig Throne und auf den Thronen saßen vierundzwanzig Älteste in weißen Gewändern und mit goldenen Kränzen auf dem Haupt.	4 Round the throne in a circle were twenty-four thrones, and on them twenty-four elders sitting, dressedin white robes with golden crowns on their heads.
5 Von dem Thron gingen Blitze, Stimmen und Donner aus. Und sieben lodernde Fackeln brannten vor dem Thron; das sind die sieben Geister Gottes.	5 Flashes of lightning were coming from the throne, and the sound of peals of thunder, and in front of thethrone there were seven flaming lamps burning, the seven Spirits of God.
6 Und vor dem Thron war etwas wie ein gläsernes Meer, gleich Kristall. Und in der Mitte, rings um den Thron, waren vier Lebewesen voller Augen, vorn und hinten.	6 In front of the throne was a sea as transparent as crystal. In the middle of the throne and around it,were four living creatures al studded with eyes, in front and behind.
7 Das erste Lebewesen glich einem Löwen, das zweite einem Stier, das dritte sah aus wie ein Mensch, das vierte glich einem fliegenden Adler.	7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second like a bull, the third living creature had a human face,and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.
8 Und jedes der vier Lebewesen hatte sechs Flügel, außen und innen voller Augen. Sie ruhen nicht, bei Tag und Nacht, und rufen: Heilig, heilig, heilig ist der Herr, der Gott, der Herrscher über die ganze Schöpfung; er war und er ist und er kommt.	8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was studded with eyes all the way round as well asinside; and day and night they never stopped singing: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty; who was,and is and is to come.'
9 Und wenn die Lebewesen dem, der auf dem Thron sitzt und in alle Ewigkeit lebt, Herrlichkeit und Ehre und Dank erweisen,	9 Every time the living creatures glorified and honoured and gave thanks to the One sitting on the throne,who lives for ever and ever,
10 dann werfen sich die vierundzwanzig Ältesten vor dem, der auf dem Thron sitzt, nieder und beten ihn an, der in alle Ewigkeit lebt. Und sie legen ihre goldenen Kränze vor seinem Thron nieder und sprechen:	10 the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before him to worship the One who lives for ever andever, and threw down their crowns in front of the throne, saying:
11 Würdig bist du, unser Herr und Gott, Herrlichkeit zu empfangen und Ehre und Macht. Denn du bist es, der die Welt erschaffen hat, durch deinen Willen war sie und wurde sie erschaffen.	11 You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you made the wholeuniverse; by your wil , when it did not exist, it was created.
