Der zweite Brief des Johannes 1

1 Der Älteste an die von Gott auserwählte Herrin und an ihre Kinder, die ich in Wahrheit liebe; aber nicht nur ich, sondern auch alle, die die Wahrheit erkannt haben, lieben sie	1 From the Elder: my greetings to the Lady, the chosen one, and to her children, whom I love in truth --and I am not the only one, for so do al who have come to know the Truth -- and I am not the only one, for so sodo al who have come to know the Truth-
2 aufgrund der Wahrheit, die in uns bleibt. Und sie wird mit uns sein in Ewigkeit.	2 because of the truth that remains in us and wil be with us for ever.
3 Gnade wird mit uns sein, Erbarmen und Friede von Gott, dem Vater, und von Jesus Christus, dem Sohn des Vaters, in Wahrheit und Liebe.	3 In our life of truth and love, we shal have grace, faithful love and peace from God the Father and fromJesus Christ, the Son of the Father.
4 Ich habe mich sehr gefreut(,) unter deinen Kindern solche zu finden, die in der Wahrheit leben, gemäß dem Gebot, das wir vom Vater empfangen haben.	4 It has given me great joy to find that children of yours have been living the life of truth as we werecommanded by the Father.
5 Und so bitte ich dich, Herrin, nicht als wollte ich dir ein neues Gebot schreiben, sondern nur das, das wir von Anfang an hatten: dass wir einander lieben sollen.	5 And now I am asking you -- dear lady, not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but onlythe one which we have had from the beginning -- that we should love one another.
6 Denn die Liebe besteht darin, dass wir nach seinen Geboten leben. Das Gebot, das ihr von Anfang an gehört habt, lautet: Ihr sollt in der Liebe leben.	6 To love is to live according to his commandments: this is the commandment which you have heardsince the beginning, to live a life of love.
7 Viele Verführer sind in die Welt hinausgegangen; sie bekennen nicht, dass Jesus Christus im Fleisch gekommen ist. Das ist der Verführer und der Antichrist.	7 There are many deceivers at large in the world, refusing to acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming inhuman nature. They are the Deceiver; they are the Antichrist.
8 Achtet auf euch, damit ihr nicht preisgebt, was wir erarbeitet haben, sondern damit ihr den vollen Lohn empfangt.	8 Watch yourselves, or all our work will be lost and you wil forfeit your full reward.
9 Jeder, der darüber hinausgeht und nicht in der Lehre Christi bleibt, hat Gott nicht. Wer aber in der Lehre bleibt, hat den Vater und den Sohn.	9 If anybody does not remain in the teaching of Christ but goes beyond it, he does not have God with him:only those who remain in what he taught can have the Father and the Son with them.
10 Wenn jemand zu euch kommt und nicht diese Lehre mitbringt, dann nehmt ihn nicht in euer Haus auf, sondern verweigert ihm den Gruß.	10 If anyone comes to you bringing a different doctrine, you must not receive him into your house or evengive him a greeting.
11 Denn wer ihm den Gruß bietet, macht sich mitschuldig an seinen bösen Taten.	11 Whoever greets him has a share in his wicked activities.
12 Vieles hätte ich euch noch zu schreiben; ich will es aber nicht mit Papier und Tinte tun, sondern hoffe, selbst zu euch zu kommen und persönlich mit euch zu sprechen, damit unsere Freude vollkommen wird.	12 There are several things I have to tell you, but I have thought it best not to trust them to paper and ink.I hope instead to visit you and talk to you in person, so that our joy may be complete.
13 Es grüßen dich die Kinder deiner auserwählten Schwester.	13 Greetings to you from the children of your sister, the chosen one.
