1 Die Bruderliebe soll bleiben.	1 Let brotherly love continue.
2 Vergesst die Gastfreundschaft nicht; denn durch sie haben einige, ohne es zu ahnen, Engel beherbergt.	2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
3 Denkt an die Gefangenen, als wäret ihr mitgefangen; denkt an die Misshandelten, denn auch ihr lebt noch in eurem irdischen Leib.	3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
4 Die Ehe soll von allen in Ehren gehalten werden und das Ehebett bleibe unbefleckt; denn Unzüchtige und Ehebrecher wird Gott richten.	4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
5 Euer Leben sei frei von Habgier; seid zufrieden mit dem, was ihr habt; denn Gott hat versprochen: Ich lasse dich nicht fallen und verlasse dich nicht.	5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Darum dürfen wir zuversichtlich sagen: Der Herr ist mein Helfer, ich fürchte mich nicht. Was können Menschen mir antun?	6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Denkt an eure Vorsteher, die euch das Wort Gottes verkündet haben; schaut auf das Ende ihres Lebens, und ahmt ihren Glauben nach!	7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christus ist derselbe gestern, heute und in Ewigkeit.	8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
9 Lasst euch nicht durch mancherlei fremde Lehren irreführen; denn es ist gut, das Herz durch Gnade zu stärken und nicht dadurch, dass man nach Speisevorschriften lebt, die noch keinem genützt haben.	9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
10 Wir haben einen Altar, von dem die nicht essen dürfen, die dem Zelt dienen.	10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
11 Denn die Körper der Tiere, deren Blut vom Hohenpriester zur Sühnung der Sünde in das Heiligtum gebracht wird, werden außerhalb des Lagers verbrannt.	11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
12 Deshalb hat auch Jesus, um durch sein eigenes Blut das Volk zu heiligen, außerhalb des Tores gelitten.	12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13 Lasst uns also zu ihm vor das Lager hinausziehen und seine Schmach auf uns nehmen.	13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14 Denn wir haben hier keine Stadt, die bestehen bleibt, sondern wir suchen die künftige.	14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
15 Durch ihn also lasst uns Gott allezeit das Opfer des Lobes darbringen, nämlich die Frucht der Lippen, die seinen Namen preisen.	15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16 Vergesst nicht, Gutes zu tun und mit anderen zu teilen; denn an solchen Opfern hat Gott Gefallen.	16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
17 Gehorcht euren Vorstehern und ordnet euch ihnen unter, denn sie wachen über euch und müssen Rechenschaft darüber ablegen; sie sollen das mit Freude tun können, nicht mit Seufzen, denn das wäre zu eurem Schaden.	17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
18 Betet für uns! Zwar sind wir überzeugt, ein gutes Gewissen zu haben, weil wir in allem recht zu leben suchen;	18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
19 umso dringender aber bitte ich um euer Gebet, damit ich euch recht bald zurückgegeben werde.	19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
20 Der Gott des Friedens aber, der Jesus, unseren Herrn, den erhabenen Hirten seiner Schafe, von den Toten heraufgeführt hat durch das Blut eines ewigen Bundes,	20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 er mache euch tüchtig in allem Guten, damit ihr seinen Willen tut. Er bewirke in uns, was ihm gefällt, durch Jesus Christus, dem die Ehre sei in alle Ewigkeit. Amen.	21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
22 Schließlich bitte ich euch, Brüder, nehmt diese Mahnrede bereitwillig an; ich habe euch ja nur kurz geschrieben.	22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
23 wisst, dass unser Bruder Timotheus freigelassen worden ist; sobald er kommt, werde ich mit ihm zusammen euch besuchen.	23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
24 Grüßt alle eure Vorsteher und alle Heiligen! Es grüßen euch die Brüder aus Italien.	24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
25 Die Gnade sei mit euch allen!	25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
