Josua 6

EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Jericho hielt wegen der Israeliten die Tore fest verschlossen. Niemand konnte heraus und niemand konnte hinein.	1 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
2 Da sagte der Herr zu Josua: Sieh her, ich gebe Jericho und seinen König samt seinen Kriegern in deine Gewalt.	2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.
3 Ihr sollt mit allen Kriegern um die Stadt herumziehen und sie einmal umkreisen. Das sollst du sechs Tage lang tun.	3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
4 Sieben Priester sollen sieben Widderhörner vor der Lade hertragen. Am siebten Tag sollt ihr siebenmal um die Stadt herumziehen und die Priester sollen die Hörner blasen.	4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
5 Wenn das Widderhorn geblasen wird und ihr den Hörnerschall hört, soll das ganze Volk in lautes Kriegsgeschrei ausbrechen. Darauf wird die Mauer der Stadt in sich zusammenstürzen; dann soll das Volk hinübersteigen, jeder an der nächstbesten Stelle.	5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
6 Da rief Josua, der Sohn Nuns, die Priester und sagte: Nehmt die Bundeslade und lasst sieben Priester sieben Widderhörner vor der Lade des Herrn hertragen.	6 And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD.
7 Und zum Volk sagte er: Zieht rings um die Stadt herum und lasst die bewaffneten Männer vor der Lade des Herrn herziehen!	7 And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD.
8 Und es geschah so, wie Josua es dem Volk gesagt hatte: Sieben Priester trugen die sieben Widderhörner vor dem Herrn her und bliesen im Gehen die Hörner und die Bundeslade des Herrn zog hinter ihnen her.	8 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them.
9 Die bewaffneten Männer gingen vor den Priestern her, die die Hörner bliesen, die Nachhut folgte der Lade und man blies ständig die Hörner.	9 And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
10 Dem Volk aber befahl Josua: Erhebt kein Kriegsgeschrei und lasst eure Stimmen nicht hören! Kein Wort komme aus eurem Mund bis zu dem Tag, an dem ich zu euch sage: Erhebt das Kriegsgeschrei! Dann sollt ihr losschreien.	10 And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.
11 Darauf ließ er die Lade des Herrn um die Stadt herumziehen und sie einmal umkreisen. Dann kam man zum Lager zurück und übernachtete im Lager.	11 So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.
12 Früh am anderen Morgen brach Josua auf und die Priester trugen die Lade des Herrn.	12 And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.
13 Sieben Priester trugen die sieben Widderhörner der Lade des Herrn voraus und bliesen ständig die Hörner. Die bewaffneten Männer zogen vor ihnen her und die Nachhut folgte der Lade des Herrn. Man blies ständig die Hörner.	13 And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
14 So zogen sie auch am zweiten Tag einmal um die Stadt herum und kehrten wieder ins Lager zurück. Das machten sie sechs Tage lang.	14 And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
15 Am siebten Tag aber brachen sie beim Anbruch der Morgenröte auf und zogen, wie gewohnt, um die Stadt, siebenmal; nur an diesem Tag zogen sie siebenmal um die Stadt.	15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.
16 Als die Priester beim siebten Mal die Hörner bliesen, sagte Josua zum Volk: Erhebt das Kriegsgeschrei! Denn der Herr hat die Stadt in eure Gewalt gegeben.	16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.
17 Die Stadt mit allem, was in ihr ist, soll zu Ehren des Herrn dem Untergang geweiht sein. Nur die Dirne Rahab und alle, die bei ihr im Haus sind, sollen am Leben bleiben, weil sie die Boten versteckt hat, die wir ausgeschickt hatten.	17 And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
18 Hütet euch aber davor, von dem, was dem Untergang geweiht ist, etwas zu begehren und wegzunehmen; sonst weiht ihr das Lager Israels dem Untergang und stürzt es ins Unglück.	18 And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.
19 Alles Gold und Silber und die Geräte aus Bronze und Eisen sollen dem Herrn geweiht sein und in den Schatz des Herrn kommen.	19 But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.
20 Darauf erhob das Volk das Kriegsgeschrei und die Widderhörner wurden geblasen. Als das Volk den Hörnerschall hörte, brach es in lautes Kriegsgeschrei aus. Die Stadtmauer stürzte in sich zusammen, und das Volk stieg in die Stadt hinein, jeder an der nächstbesten Stelle. So eroberten sie die Stadt.	20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
21 Mit scharfem Schwert weihten sie alles, was in der Stadt war, dem Untergang, Männer und Frauen, Kinder und Greise, Rinder, Schafe und Esel.	21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.
22 Zu den beiden Männern, die das Land erkundet hatten, sagte Josua: Geht zu dem Haus der Dirne und holt von dort die Frau und alles, was ihr gehört, wie ihr es ihr geschworen habt.	22 But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her.
23 Da gingen die jungen Männer, die Kundschafter, und holten Rahab, ihren Vater, ihre Mutter, ihre Brüder und alles, was ihr gehörte; sie führten ihre ganze Verwandtschaft (aus der Stadt) heraus und wiesen ihnen einen Platz außerhalb des Lagers Israels an.	23 And the young men that were spies went in, and brought Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.
24 Die Stadt aber und alles, was darin war, brannte man nieder; nur das Silber und Gold und die Geräte aus Bronze und Eisen brachte man in den Schatz im Haus des Herrn.	24 And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.
25 Die Dirne Rahab und die Familie ihres Vaters und alles, was ihr gehörte, ließ Josua am Leben. So wohnt ihre Familie bis heute mitten in Israel; denn Rahab hatte die Boten versteckt, die Josua ausgesandt hatte, um Jericho auskundschaften zu lassen.	25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
26 Damals schwor Josua: Verflucht beim Herrn sei der Mann, der es unternimmt, diese Stadt Jericho wieder aufzubauen. Seinen Erstgeborenen soll es ihn kosten, wenn er sie neu gründet, und seinen Jüngsten, wenn er ihre Tore wieder aufrichtet.	26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
27 Der Herr war mit Josua und sein Ruhm verbreitete sich im ganzen Land.	27 So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.
