1 Als Josua alt und hochbetagt war, sagte der Herr zu ihm: Du bist alt und hochbetagt, aber vom Land bleibt noch sehr viel in Besitz zu nehmen.	1 Joshua was old and advanced in age, and the Lord said to him: “You have grown old, and are aged, and a very wide land remains, which has not yet been divided by lot,
2 Das ist das Land, das noch übrig ist: alle Bezirke der Philister und das ganze Gebiet der Geschuriter	2 specifically, all of Galilee, Philistia, and all of Geshur;

7 Verteil nun dieses Land als Erbbesitz an die neun Stämme und den halben Stamm Manasse.	7 And now, divide the land as a possession to the nine tribes, and to the one half tribe of Manasseh.”
8 Die andere Hälfte des Stammes Manasse und mit ihm die Rubeniter und Gaditer hatten ihren Erbbesitz schon erhalten; ihn hatte Mose ihnen jenseits des Jordan im Osten gegeben, [wie ihn Mose, der Knecht des Herrn, ihnen zugewiesen hatte],	8 With them, Reuben and Gad have possessed the land, which Moses, the servant of the Lord, delivered to them beyond the river Jordan, on the eastern side:

11 dazu Gilead und das Gebiet der Geschuriter und Maachatiter und das ganze Hermongebirge und den ganzen Baschan bis nach Salcha,	11 and Gilead, as well as the borders of Geshur and Maacati, and all of mount Hermon, and all of Bashan, as far as Salecah;
12 das ganze Reich des Og im Baschan, der in Aschtarot und Edreï herrschte. Er war vom Rest der Rafaïter übrig geblieben. Mose hatte sie geschlagen und vertrieben.	12 the entire kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned at Ashtaroth and Edrei, (he was among the last of the Rephaim). And Moses struck and destroyed them.
13 Aber die Israeliten vertrieben die Geschuriter und die Maachatiter nicht; so wohnen Geschuriter und Maachatiter bis zum heutigen Tag mitten in Israel.	13 And the sons of Israel were not willing to destroy Geshur and Maacati, and so they have lived in the midst of Israel, even to the present day.
14 Nur dem Stamm Levi gab Josua keinen Erbbesitz; der Herr, der Gott Israels, ist sein Erbteil, wie der Herr ihm gesagt hatte.	14 But to the tribe of Levi, he did not give a possession. Instead, the sacrifices and victims of the Lord, the God of Israel, these are his inheritance, just as he spoke to him.
15 Die Zuteilung an den Stamm der Rubeniter hatte also Mose entsprechend ihren Sippen vorgenommen.	15 Therefore, Moses gave a possession to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, according to their families.

19 Kirjatajim, Sibma und Zeret- Schahar auf dem Berg im Tal,	19 and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar on the mountain of the steep valley;
20 Bet-Pegor, die Abhänge des Pisga, Bet-Jeschimot	20 Bethpeor, and the descending slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;
21 und alle Städte der Ebene, das heißt: das ganze Reich des Amoriterkönigs Sihon, der in Heschbon herrschte. Mose hatte ihn und die Fürsten Midians geschlagen: Ewi, Rekem, Zur, Hur und Reba, die Heerführer Sihons, die im Land wohnten.	21 and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdoms of Sihon, the king of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, whom Moses struck down with the leaders of Midian: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the commanders of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.
22 Auch den Wahrsager Bileam, den Sohn Beors, hatten die Israeliten zusammen mit den anderen mit dem Schwert erschlagen.	22 And the sons of Israel killed Balaam, the son of Beor, the seer, with the sword, along with the others who were slain.
23 Die Grenze der Rubeniter bildete der Jordan und sein Ufergebiet. Dieses Gebiet mit seinen Städten und Gehöften ist der Erbbesitz der Rubeniter, entsprechend ihren Sippen.	23 And the river Jordan was made the border of the sons of Reuben; this is the possession of the Reubenites, by their families, in cities and villages.
24 Mose hatte auch die Zuteilung an den Stamm Gad, die Gaditer, entsprechend ihren Sippen vorgenommen.	24 And Moses gave to the tribe of Gad and his sons, by their families, a possession, of which this is the division:
25 Ihnen war zuteil geworden das Gebiet von Jaser und alle Städte Gileads, das halbe Land der Ammoniter bis Aroër, das gegenüber Rabba liegt,	25 the border of Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and one half part of the land of the sons of Ammon, as far as Aroer, which is opposite Rabbah;
26 (das Land) von Heschbon bis Ramat-Mizpe und Betonim und von Mahanajim bis zum Gebiet von Lo-Dabar,	26 and from Heshbon as far as Ramath, Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim as far as the borders of Debir;
27 dazu im Tal Bet-Haram, Bet- Nimra, Sukkot und Zafon - der Rest des Reiches Sihons, des Königs von Heschbon -, ferner der Jordan und das Gebiet bis zum Ende des Sees von Kinneret jenseits des Jordan im Osten.	27 also, in the valley Beth-haram and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the remaining part of the kingdom of Sihon, the king of Heshbon; the limit of this also is the Jordan, as far as the furthest part of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan on the eastern side.
28 Dieses Gebiet mit seinen Städten und Gehöften ist der Erbbesitz der Gaditer, entsprechend ihren Sippen.	28 This is the possession of the sons of Gad, by their families, in their cities and villages.
29 Mose hatte auch die Zuteilung an den halben Stamm Manasse vorgenommen, [dem halben Stamm Manasse wurde zuteil] entsprechend seinen Sippen.	29 He also gave, to the one half tribe of Manasseh and to his sons, a possession according to their families,
30 Sein Gebiet umfasste von Mahanajim an den ganzen Baschan, das ganze Reich des Königs Og vom Baschan und alle Zeltdörfer Jaïrs im Baschan, sechzig Städte.	30 the beginning of which is this: from Mahanaim, all of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Og, the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty towns;

32 Das sind die Gebiete, die Mose in den Steppen von Moab jenseits des Jordan östlich von Jericho als Erbbesitz verteilt hatte.	32 Moses divided this possession, in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, opposite Jericho on the eastern side.
33 Dem Stamm Levi aber hatte Mose keinen Erbbesitz zugeteilt. Der Herr, der Gott Israels, ist ihr Erbteil, wie er es ihnen gesagt hatte.	33 But to the tribe of Levi he did not give a possession. For the Lord, the God of Israel, is himself their possession, just as he spoke to him.
