1 Im ersten Monat des zweiten Jahres nach ihrem Auszug aus Ägypten sprach der Herr in der Wüste Sinai zu Mose:	1 And the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2 Die Israeliten sollen zur festgesetzten Zeit das Paschafest feiern.	2 "Let the people of Israel keep the passover at its appointed time.
3 Am vierzehnten Tag dieses Monats sollt ihr es in der Abenddämmerung zur festgesetzten Zeit feiern. Ihr sollt es genau nach den dafür geltenden Gesetzen und Vorschriften feiern.	3 On the fourteenth day of this month, in the evening, you shall keep it at its appointed time; according to all its statutes and all its ordinances you shall keep it."
4 Da befahl Mose den Israeliten, das Paschafest zu feiern.	4 So Moses told the people of Israel that they should keep the passover.
5 So feierten sie am vierzehnten Tag des ersten Monats in der Abenddämmerung das Paschafest in der Wüste Sinai. Genau so, wie der Herr es Mose befohlen hatte, machten es die Israeliten.	5 And they kept the passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, in the evening, in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the people of Israel did.
6 Es gab Männer, die unrein waren, weil sie einen Toten berührt hatten, und die deshalb an jenem Tag das Paschafest nicht feiern konnten. Die Männer kamen noch am selben Tag zu Mose und Aaron	6 And there were certain men who were unclean through touching the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the passover on that day; and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day;
7 und sagten zu ihnen: Wir sind unrein, weil wir einen Toten berührt haben. Warum soll es uns verwehrt sein, zur festgesetzten Zeit wie die anderen Israeliten dem Herrn unsere Opfergabe darzubringen?	7 and those men said to him, "We are unclean through touching the dead body of a man; why are we kept from offering the LORD's offering at its appointed time among the people of Israel?"
8 Mose antwortete ihnen: Bleibt da; ich will hören, was euch der Herr befiehlt.	8 And Moses said to them, "Wait, that I may hear what the LORD will command concerning you."
9 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:	9 The LORD said to Moses,
10 Sag den Israeliten: Wenn einige von euch oder von euren Nachkommen unrein sind wegen eines Toten oder wenn sie weit weg auf einer Reise sind, aber trotzdem das Paschafest für den Herrn feiern wollen,	10 "Say to the people of Israel, If any man of you or of your descendants is unclean through touching a dead body, or is afar off on a journey, he shall still keep the passover to the LORD.
11 dann sollen sie es im zweiten Monat am vierzehnten Tag in der Abenddämmerung feiern; zu ungesäuerten Broten und Bitterkräutern sollen sie das Paschalamm essen.	11 In the second month on the fourteenth day in the evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
12 Sie sollen davon nichts bis zum nächsten Morgen übrig lassen und sollen an dem Paschalamm keinen Knochen zerbrechen. Genau so, wie es das Paschagesetz vorschreibt, sollen sie handeln.	12 They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break a bone of it; according to all the statute for the passover they shall keep it.
13 Wer jedoch rein ist und sich nicht auf einer Reise befindet, es aber trotzdem unterlässt, das Paschafest zu feiern, der soll aus seinen Stammesgenossen ausgemerzt werden, denn er hat dem Herrn seine Gabe nicht zur festgesetzten Zeit dargebracht; ein solcher Mensch muss die Folgen seiner Sünde tragen.	13 But the man who is clean and is not on a journey, yet refrains from keeping the passover, that person shall be cut off from his people, because he did not offer the LORD's offering at its appointed time; that man shall bear his sin.
14 Wenn ein Fremder bei euch lebt und das Paschafest für den Herrn feiern will, dann soll er es nach dem Paschagesetz und Pascharecht feiern. Für den Fremden und für den Einheimischen soll bei euch dasselbe Gesetz gelten.	14 And if a stranger sojourns among you, and will keep the passover to the LORD, according to the statute of the passover and according to its ordinance, so shall he do; you shall have one statute, both for the sojourner and for the native."
15 An dem Tag, als man die Wohnstätte aufstellte, bedeckte eine Wolke die Wohnstätte, das Zelt der Bundesurkunde. Am Abend legte sie sich wie ein Feuerschein über die Wohnstätte und blieb dort bis zum Morgen.	15 On the day that the tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the testimony; and at evening it was over the tabernacle like the appearance of fire until morning.
16 So war es die ganze Zeit: Bei Tag bedeckte die Wolke die Wohnstätte und bei Nacht der Feuerschein.	16 So it was continually; the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
17 Jedes Mal, wenn sich die Wolke über dem Zelt erhob, brachen die Israeliten auf, und wo sich die Wolke niederließ, dort schlugen die Israeliten ihr Lager auf.	17 And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tent, after that the people of Israel set out; and in the place where the cloud settled down, there the people of Israel encamped.
18 Nach dem Gebot des Herrn brachen die Israeliten auf und nach dem Gebot des Herrn schlugen sie ihr Lager auf. Solange die Wolke über der Wohnstätte lag, blieben sie im Lager.	18 At the command of the LORD the people of Israel set out, and at the command of the LORD they encamped; as long as the cloud rested over the tabernacle, they remained in camp.
19 Auch wenn die Wolke längere Zeit über der Wohnstätte stehen blieb, achteten die Israeliten auf die Anordnung des Herrn und brachen nicht auf.	19 Even when the cloud continued over the tabernacle many days, the people of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and did not set out.
20 Und wenn die Wolke nur wenige Tage über der Wohnstätte stehen blieb, blieben sie nach dem Gebot des Herrn nur so lange in ihrem Lager, bis sie nach dem Gebot des Herrn aufzubrechen hatten.	20 Sometimes the cloud was a few days over the tabernacle, and according to the command of the LORD they remained in camp; then according to the command of the LORD they set out.
21 Wenn die Wolke nur vom Abend bis zum Morgen blieb und sich am Morgen erhob, dann brachen sie am nächsten Morgen auf. Ob es bei Tag oder bei Nacht war: wenn die Wolke sich erhob, brachen sie auf.	21 And sometimes the cloud remained from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they set out, or if it continued for a day and a night, when the cloud was taken up they set out.
22 Ob es zwei Tage dauerte oder einen Monat oder noch länger: wenn die Wolke über der Wohnstätte anhielt und stehen blieb, dann schlugen die Israeliten ihr Lager auf und brachen nicht auf; erst wenn sie sich erhob, brachen sie auf.	22 Whether it was two days, or a month, or a longer time, that the cloud continued over the tabernacle, abiding there, the people of Israel remained in camp and did not set out; but when it was taken up they set out.
23 Nach dem Gebot des Herrn schlugen sie das Lager auf, nach dem Gebot des Herrn brachen sie auf. Sie achteten auf die Anordnungen des Herrn, so wie es ihnen der Herr durch Mose befahl.	23 At the command of the LORD they encamped, and at the command of the LORD they set out; they kept the charge of the LORD, at the command of the LORD by Moses.
