Nehemia 9

EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Am vierundzwanzigsten Tag dieses Monats kamen die Israeliten zu einem Fasten zusammen, in Bußgewänder gehüllt und das Haupt mit Staub bedeckt.	1 Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them.
2 Die, die ihrer Abstammung nach Israeliten waren, sonderten sich von allen Fremden ab; sie traten vor und bekannten ihre Sünden und die Vergehen ihrer Väter.	2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.
3 Sie erhoben sich von ihren Plätzen und man las drei Stunden lang aus dem Buch des Gesetzes des Herrn, ihres Gottes, vor. Dann bekannten sie drei Stunden lang ihre Schuld und warfen sich vor dem Herrn, ihrem Gott, nieder.	3 And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.
4 Auf der Tribüne der Leviten erhoben sich Jeschua, Bani, Kadmiël, Schebanja, Bunni, Scherebja, Bani und Kenani und riefen laut zum Herrn, ihrem Gott.	4 Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God.
5 Die Leviten Jeschua, Kadmiël, Bani, Haschabneja, Scherebja, Hodija, Schebanja und Petachja sagten: Erhebt euch und preist den Herrn, euren Gott, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Man preise deinen herrlichen Namen, obwohl er erhaben ist über allen Preis und Ruhm.	5 Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.
6 Du, Herr, bist der Einzige. Du hast den Himmel geschaffen und den Himmel der Himmel und sein ganzes Heer, die Erde und alles, was auf ihr ist, die Meere und alles, was darin lebt. Ihnen allen gibst du das Leben. Das Heer des Himmels betet dich an.	6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
7 Du, Herr, bist der Gott, der Abraham auserwählt hat. Du hast ihn aus Ur in Chaldäa herausgeführt und ihm den Namen Abraham verliehen.	7 Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;
8 Du hast sein Herz getreu befunden; deshalb hast du mit ihm den Bund geschlossen (und ihm versprochen), seinen Nachkommen das Land der Kanaaniter, Hetiter, Amoriter, Perisiter, Jebusiter und Girgaschiter zu geben, und du hast dein Wort gehalten, denn du bist gerecht.	8 And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:
9 Du hast das Elend unserer Väter in Ägypten gesehen und du hast ihren Notschrei am Schilfmeer gehört.	9 And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;
10 Du hast Zeichen und Wunder getan am Pharao, an all seinen Dienern und am ganzen Volk in seinem Land; denn du wusstest, dass sie mit Israel ihren Übermut getrieben hatten. So hast du dir einen Namen gemacht, der gerühmt wird bis zum heutigen Tag.	10 And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharoah, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day.
11 Du hast das Meer vor ihnen zerteilt und sie schritten auf trockenem Boden mitten durchs Meer; doch ihre Verfolger hast du in die Tiefe gestürzt wie einen Stein, der in reißendem Wasser versinkt.	11 And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.
12 Durch eine Wolkensäule hast du sie bei Tag geleitet und durch eine Feuersäule bei Nacht, um ihnen den Weg zu erhellen, den sie gehen sollten.	12 Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.
13 Du bist auf den Berg Sinai herabgestiegen und hast vom Himmel her mit ihnen gesprochen; du hast ihnen klare Ordnungen und zuverlässige Gesetze gegeben, gute Satzungen und Gebote.	13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:
14 Deinen heiligen Sabbat hast du ihnen bekannt gemacht und hast ihnen durch deinen Diener Mose Gebote, Satzungen und Anweisungen gegeben.	14 And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:
15 Du hast ihnen Brot vom Himmel gegeben, als sie Hunger hatten, und hast Wasser aus dem Felsen sprudeln lassen, als sie Durst litten. Endlich hast du ihnen befohlen, in das Land, das du ihnen unter einem Eid zugesagt hattest, hineinzuziehen und es in Besitz zu nehmen.	15 And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.
16 Unsere Väter aber wurden hochmütig; sie waren trotzig und hörten nicht auf seine Gebote.	16 But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
17 Sie weigerten sich zu gehorchen und dachten nicht mehr an die Wunder, die du an ihnen getan hattest. Hartnäckig setzten sie sich in den Kopf, als Sklaven nach Ägypten zurückzukehren. Doch du bist ein Gott, der verzeiht, du bist gnädig und barmherzig, langmütig und reich an Huld; darum hast du sie nicht verlassen.	17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
18 Sie machten sich sogar ein gegossenes Kalb und sagten: Das ist dein Gott, der dich aus Ägypten herausgeführt hat!, und sie verübten schwere Frevel.	18 Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;
19 Du aber hast sie in deinem großen Erbarmen nicht in der Wüste verlassen. Die Wolkensäule wich nicht von ihnen bei Tag, sondern führte sie auf ihrem Weg; ebenso erhellte die Feuersäule bei Nacht den Weg, den sie gehen sollten.	19 Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.
20 Du gabst ihnen deinen guten Geist, um sie zur Einsicht zu bringen. Du entzogst ihnen dein Manna nicht und gabst ihnen Wasser für ihren Durst.	20 Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.
21 Vierzig Jahre lang hast du für sie in der Wüste gesorgt. Sie litten keinen Mangel; ihre Kleider zerfielen nicht, ihre Füße schwollen nicht an.	21 Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.
22 Du hast ihnen ganze Reiche und Völker ausgeliefert und als Randgebiet zugeteilt. So nahmen sie das Land des Königs Sihon von Heschbon in Besitz und das Land des Königs Og des Baschan.	22 Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.
23 Du hast ihre Nachkommen so zahlreich gemacht wie die Sterne am Himmel und hast sie in das Land geführt, von dem du ihren Vätern versprochen hattest, sie würden dort hineinziehen und es in Besitz nehmen.	23 Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.
24 Und die Nachkommen zogen in das Land und nahmen es in Besitz. Du hast ihnen die Kanaaniter, die Bewohner des Landes, unterworfen. Du gabst sie in ihre Gewalt, die Völker des Landes samt ihren Königen, und sie durften mit ihnen machen, was sie wollten.	24 So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would.
25 Sie eroberten befestigte Städte und fruchtbares Ackerland. Häuser mit all ihrem Reichtum nahmen sie in Besitz, ausgehauene Zisternen, Weinberge, Ölbäume und Obstbäume in Menge. Sie aßen sich satt, wurden fett und lebten gut von deinen reichen Gaben.	25 And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.
26 Dann aber wurden sie trotzig; sie empörten sich gegen dich und kehrten deinem Gesetz den Rücken. Deine Propheten warnten sie zwar und wollten sie zu dir zurückführen; doch man tötete sie und verübte schwere Frevel.	26 Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.
27 Da gabst du unsere Väter in die Gewalt ihrer Feinde, die sie hart bedrängten. Wenn sie dann bedrängt wurden, schrien sie zu dir und du erhörtest sie im Himmel. In deinem großen Erbarmen schicktest du ihnen Retter, die sie aus der Gewalt ihrer Feinde befreiten.	27 Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
28 Doch sobald sie Ruhe hatten, taten sie wieder Dinge, die dir missfielen. Da liefertest du sie wieder der Gewalt ihrer Feinde aus, die sie unterdrückten. Nun schrien sie wieder zu dir und du erhörtest sie im Himmel; oft hast du sie befreit in deinem großen Erbarmen.	28 But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;
29 Du warntest sie, um sie zu deinem Gesetz zurückzuführen. Sie aber waren stolz; sie hörten nicht auf deine Gebote und versündigten sich gegen deine Vorschriften; und doch lebt durch sie der Mensch, der sie befolgt. Sie kehrten dir trotzig den Rücken zu, waren starrsinnig und gehorchten dir nicht.	29 And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.
30 Viele Jahre hast du mit ihnen Geduld gehabt, hast sie gewarnt durch deinen Geist, durch deine Propheten; doch sie hörten nicht. Da gabst du sie in die Gewalt der benachbarten Völker.	30 Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.
31 In deinem großen Erbarmen hast du sie aber nicht ausgerottet; du hast sie nicht verlassen, denn du bist ein gnädiger und barmherziger Gott.	31 Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
32 Und jetzt, unser Gott, du großer, starker, furchtgebietender Gott, der den Bund hält und uns seine Gnade bewahrt: Achte nicht gering all die Mühsal, die uns getroffen hat, unsere Könige und Vorsteher, unsere Priester und Propheten, unsere Väter und dein ganzes Volk seit den Tagen der Könige von Assur bis heute.	32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
33 Du warst gerecht bei allem, was über uns gekommen ist. Du hast uns deine Treue bewiesen; wir aber haben gesündigt.	33 Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly:
34 Unsere Könige, Vorsteher und Priester und unsere Väter befolgten dein Gesetz nicht; sie missachteten deine Gebote und die Warnungen, die du an sie gerichtet hast.	34 Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them.
35 Sie lebten in ihrem eigenen Königreich, in der Fülle des Reichtums, den du ihnen gewährt hast, in dem weiten, fruchtbaren Land, das du vor sie hingebreitet hast; sie aber haben dir trotzdem nicht gedient und sich nicht von ihrem bösen Treiben abgewandt.	35 For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.
36 Darum sind wir heute Knechte. Du hast unseren Vätern dieses Land gegeben, damit sie seine Früchte und seinen Reichtum genießen; wir aber leben darin als Knechte.	36 Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:
37 Sein reicher Ertrag geht an die Könige, die du wegen unserer Sünden über uns gesetzt hast. Sie verfügen über uns selbst und unser Vieh nach ihrem Belieben. Darum sind wir in großer Not.	37 And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.
	38 And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and priests, seal unto it.
