1 And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had a withered hand.	1 Il entra de nouveau dans une synagogue, et il y avait là un homme qui avait la main desséchée.
2 And they watched him whether he would heal on the sabbath days; that they might accuse him.	2 Et ils l'épiaient pour voir s'il allait le guérir, le jour du sabbat, afin de l'accuser.
3 And he said to the man who had the withered hand: Stand up in the midst.	3 Il dit à l'homme qui avait la main sèche: "Lève-toi, là, au milieu."
4 And he saith to them: Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy? But they held their peace.	4 Et il leur dit: "Est-il permis, le jour du sabbat, de faire du bien plutôt que de faire du mal, de sauverune vie plutôt que de la tuer?" Mais eux se taisaient.
5 And looking round about on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their hearts, he saith to the man: Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored unto him.	5 Promenant alors sur eux un regard de colère, navré de l'endurcissement de leur coeur, il dit à l'homme:"Etends la main." Il l'étendit et sa main fut remise en état.
6 And the Pharisees going out, immediately made a consultation with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.	6 Etant sortis, les Pharisiens tenaient aussitôt conseil avec les Hérodiens contre lui, en vue de le perdre.
7 But Jesus retired with his disciples to the sea; and a great multitude followed him from Galilee and Judea,	7 Jésus avec ses disciples se retira vers la mer et une grande multitude le suivit de la Galilée; et de laJudée,
8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and from beyond the Jordan. And they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing the things which he did, came to him.	8 de Jérusalem, de l'Idumée, de la Transjordane, des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, une grande multitude,ayant entendu tout ce qu'il faisait, vint à lui.
9 And he spoke to his disciples that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.	9 Et il dit à ses disciples qu'une petite barque fût tenue à sa disposition, à cause de la foule, pour qu'ilsne l'écrasent pas.
10 For he healed many, so that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had evils.	10 Car il en guérit beaucoup, si bien que tous ceux qui avaient des infirmités se jetaient sur lui pour letoucher.
11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him: and they cried, saying:	11 Et les esprits impurs, lorsqu'ils le voyaient, se jetaient à ses pieds et criaient en disant: "Tu es le Filsde Dieu!"
12 Thou art the Son of God. And he strictly charged them that they should not make him known.	12 Et il leur enjoignait avec force de ne pas le faire connaître.
13 And going up into a mountain, he called unto him whom he would himself: and they came to him.	13 Puis il gravit la montagne et il appelle à lui ceux qu'il voulait. Ils vinrent à lui,
14 And he made that twelve should be with him, and that he might send them to preach.	14 et il en institua Douze pour être ses compagnons et pour les envoyer prêcher,
15 And he gave them power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.	15 avec pouvoir de chasser les démons.
16 And to Simon he gave the name Peter:	16 Il institua donc les Douze, et il donna à Simon le nom de Pierre,
17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he named them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:	17 puis Jacques, le fils de Zébédée, et Jean, le frère de Jacques, auxquels il donna le nom de Boanergès,c'est-à-dire fils du tonnerre,
18 And Andrew and Philip, and Bartholomew and Matthew, and Thomas and James of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Cananean:	18 puis André, Philippe, Barthélemy, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques, le fils d'Alphée, Thaddée, Simon leZélé,
19 And Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.	19 et Judas Iscarioth, celui-là même qui le livra.
20 And they come to a house, and the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.	20 Il vient à la maison et de nouveau la foule se rassemble, au point qu'ils ne pouvaient pas mêmemanger de pain.
21 And when his friends had heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him. For they said: He is become mad.	21 Et les siens, l'ayant appris, partirent pour se saisir de lui, car ils disaient: "Il a perdu le sens."
22 And the scribes who were come down from Jerusalem, said: He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of devils he casteth out devils.	22 Et les scribes qui étaient descendus de Jérusalem disaient: "Il est possédé de Béelzéboul", et encore:"C'est par le prince des démons qu'il expulse les démons."
23 And after he had called them together, he said to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan?	23 Les ayant appelés près de lui, il leur disait en paraboles: "Comment Satan peut-il expulser Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.	24 Si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume-là ne peut subsister.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.	25 Et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison-là ne pourra se maintenir.
26 And if Satan be risen up against himself, he is divided, and cannot stand, but hath an end.	26 Or, si Satan s'est dressé contre lui-même et s'est divisé, il ne peut pas tenir, il est fini.
27 No man can enter into the house of a strong man and rob him of his goods, unless he first bind the strong man, and then shall he plunder his house.	27 Mais nul ne peut pénétrer dans la maison d'un homme fort et piller ses affaires s'il n'a d'abord ligotécet homme fort, et alors il pillera sa maison.
28 Amen I say to you, that all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and the blasphemies wherewith they shall blaspheme:	28 "En vérité, je vous le dis, tout sera remis aux enfants des hommes, les péchés et les blasphèmes tantqu'il en auront proféré;
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, shall never have forgiveness, but shall be guilty of an everlasting sin.	29 mais quiconque aura blasphémé contre l'Esprit Saint n'aura jamais de rémission: il est coupable d'unefaute éternelle."
30 Because they said: He hath an unclean spirit.	30 C'est qu'ils disaient: "Il est possédé d'un esprit impur."
31 And his mother and his bretheren came; and standing without, sent unto him, calling him.	31 Sa mère et ses frères arrivent et, se tenant dehors, ils le firent appeler.
32 And the multitude sat about him; and they say to him: Behold thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.	32 Il y avait une foule assise autour de lui et on lui dit: "Voilà que ta mère et tes frères et tes soeurs sontlà dehors qui te cherchent."
33 And answering them, he said: Who is my mother and my brethren?	33 Il leur répond: "Qui est ma mère? Et mes frères?"
34 And looking round about on them who sat about him, he saith: Behold my mother and my brethren.	34 Et, promenant son regard sur ceux qui étaient assis en rond autour de lui, il dit: "Voici ma mère etmes frères.
35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and mother.	35 Quiconque fait la volonté de Dieu, celui-là m'est un frère et une soeur et une mère."
