1 Unto the end, for them that shall he changed, a testimony for Asaph, a psalm.	1 In fine, [per li] torculari, (nel dì del sabbato).
2 Give ear, O thou that rulest Israel: thou that leadest Joseph like a sheep. Thou that sittest upon the cherubims, shine forth	2 Rallegratevi in Dio, nostro aiutore; giubilate al Dio di Iacob.
3 before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasses. Stir up thy might, and come to save us.	3 Prendete il salmo, e date il timpano; il salterio giocondo con la citara.
4 Convert us, O God: and shew us thy face, and we shall be saved.	4 Risuonate la tuba nella luna nuova, nel preclaro dì della vostra festività.
5 O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy servant?	5 Però che egli è comandamento in Israel, e giudicio a Dio di Iacob.
6 How long wilt thou feed us with the bread of tears: and give us for our drink tears in measure?	6 Pose quello in testimonio di Iosef, quando usciva della terra di Egitto; udì la lingua, che non avea conosciuto.
7 Thou hast made us to be a contradiction to our neighbours: and our enemies have scoffed at us.	7 Riparò le sue spalle dalli carichi; le sue mani servirono alli vasi.
8 O God of hosts, convert us: and shew thy face, and we shall be saved.	8 Chiamastimi nella tribulazione, e liberai te; nella nascosta tempesta ti provai; [ti provai] appo l'acqua della contradizione.
9 Thou hast brought a vineyard out of Egypt: thou hast cast cut the Gentiles and planted it.	9 Odimi popolo mio, e io sarò per te; Israel, se tu mi udirai, in te non sarà Iddio nuovo, e non adorerai iddio estraneo.
10 Thou wast the guide of its journey in its sight: thou plantedst the roots thereof, and it filled the land.	10 Certo io sono il Signore Iddio tuo, che ti trassi fuori della terra di Egitto; apri la tua bocca, ed empierolla.
11 The shadow of it covered the hills: and the branches thereof the cedars of God.	11 E il mio popolo non ha udita la voce mia; e Israel non ha inteso a me.
12 It stretched forth its branches unto the sea, and its boughs unto the river.	12 E holli lasciati secondo li desiderii del loro cuore; e andarono come piacque loro.
13 Why hast thou broken down the hedge thereof, so that all they who pass by the way do pluck it?	13 Se il mio popolo mi avesse udito, se Israel fosse andato nelle mie vie,
14 The boar out of the wood hath laid it waste: and a singular wild beast hath devoured it.	14 forse per poco [i loro] nemici avrei umiliati, e posta la mano sopra loro tribulanti.
15 Turn again, O God of hosts, look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vineyard:	15 Li nemici del Signore hanno a lui mentito; e loro tempo sempre sarà.
16 And perfect the same which thy right hand hath planted: and upon the son of man whom thou hast confirmed for thyself.	16 E pascetteli della midolla di frumento; e della pietra gli satollò di miele.
17 Things set on fire and dug down shall perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
18 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand: and upon the son of man whom thou hast confirmed for thyself.
19 And we depart not from thee, thou shalt quicken us: and we will call upon thy name.
20 O Lord God of hosts, convert us: and shew thy face, and we shall be saved.
