1 Господь сказав Мойсеєві:	1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 «Промов до синів Ізраїля так: Коли хтось ізгрішить ненароком проти котрої-будь заповіді Господньої і зробить щонебудь, чого не годиться робити,	2 "Tell the Israelites: When a person inadvertently commits a sin against some command of the LORD by doing one of the forbidden things,
3 і якщо згрішить помазаний священик, і провина спаде на народ, то за гріх свій, що ним провинився, жертвуватиме Господеві за покуту молодого бичка без вади.	3 if it is the anointed priest who thus sins and thereby makes the people also become guilty, he shall present to the LORD a young, unblemished bull as a sin offering for the sin he committed.
4 Він приведе бичка перед Господа до входу в намет зборів і покладе руку йому на голову та й заріже його перед лицем Господнім,	4 Bringing the bullock to the entrance of the meeting tent, before the LORD, he shall lay his hand on its head and slaughter it before the LORD.
5 а помазаний священик візьме дещо крови бичка, внесе до намету зборів	5 The anointed priest shall then take some of the bullock's blood and bring it into the meeting tent,
6 і, вмочивши палець свій у кров, бризне нею сім разів перед Господом до завіси святині.	6 where, dipping his finger in the blood, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, toward the veil of the sanctuary.
7 І священик намастить кров’ю роги кадильного жертовника, що стоїть перед Господом у наметі зборів, і виллє всю решту крови з бичка до підніжка жертовника всепалення, що коло входу в намет зборів.	7 The priest shall also put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense which is before the LORD in the meeting tent. The rest of the bullock's blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of holocausts which is at the entrance of the meeting tent.
8 Увесь же тук із бичка, принесеного в жертву за гріх, повиймає з нього: тук, що вкриває нутрощі, й ввесь жир, що на нутрощах;	8 From the sin-offering bullock he shall remove all the fat: the fatty membrane over the inner organs, and all the fat that adheres to them,
9 і обидві нирки з туком, що на них, та що по боках, а чепець над печінкою й над нирками нехай відкине,	9 as well as the two kidneys, with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he must sever above the kidneys.
10 так, як то виймається з бика мирної жертви, — і воскурить усе те священик на жертовнику всепалення.	10 This is the same as is removed from the ox of the peace offering; and the priest shall burn it on the altar of holocausts.
11 Шкуру ж із бичка й усе його м’ясо, з головою, ногами, нутрощами й калом, —	11 The hide of the bullock and all its flesh, with its head, legs, inner organs and offal,
12 усього бичка винесе геть із табору на чисте місце, де висипають попіл, та й спалить його на дровах вогнем; на попелищі спалять його.	12 in short, the whole bullock, shall be brought outside the camp to a clean place where the ashes are deposited and there be burned up in a wood fire. At the place of the ash heap, there it must be burned.
13 Як же вся громада Ізраїля згрішить ненароком, і гадки не маючи про щось грішне, і сподіє щось, чого не годиться робити, що заповіді Господні забороняють, і провиниться,	13 "If the whole community of Israel inadvertently and without even being aware of it does something that the LORD has forbidden and thus makes itself guilty,
14 і коли гріх, що допустилась його, виявиться, — громада принесе в жертву за гріх бичка. Вона приведе його перед намет зборів.	14 should it later on become known that the sin was committed, the community shall present a young bull as a sin offering. They shall bring it before the meeting tent,
15 І старші в громаді покладуть руки на голову бичкові, перед Господом, і заріжуть його перед Господом.	15 and here, before the LORD, the elders of the community shall lay their hands on the bullock's head. When the bullock has been slaughtered before the LORD,
16 Тоді помазаний священик внесе кров із бичка до намету зборів,	16 the anointed priest shall bring some of its blood into the meeting tent,
17 вмочить свій палець у кров і бризне нею сім разів перед Господом до завіси святині,	17 and dipping his finger in the blood, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, toward the veil.
18 й намастить кров’ю роги жертовника, що перед Господом у наметі зборів, і всю решту крови з бичка виллє до підніжка жертовника всепалення, що коло входу в намет зборів;	18 He shall also put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense which is before the LORD in the meeting tent. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of holocausts which is at the entrance of the meeting tent.
19 тук же ввесь вийме з нього й воскурить на жертовнику.	19 All of its fat he shall take from it and burn on the altar,
20 Він зробить з цим бичком так само, як зробив із бичком, принесеним за гріх власний, — так само зробить із ним, Отак і зробить за них священик покуту, і проститься їм.	20 doing with this bullock just as he did with the other sin-offering bullock. Thus the priest shall make atonement for them, and they will be forgiven.
21 Бичка ж винесуть геть із табору й спалять, як було спалено першого бичка; це жертва за гріх громади.	21 This bullock must also be brought outside the camp and burned, just as has been prescribed for the other one. This is the sin offering for the community.
22 Коли ж ізгрішить князь і сподіє ненароком щось, чого не годиться робити, що забороняють заповіді Господа Бога його, й провиниться,	22 "Should a prince commit a sin inadvertently by doing one of the things which are forbidden by some commandment of the LORD, his God, and thus become guilty,
23 і як стане свідомим гріха, що ним ізгрішив, — має принести в жертву козла, самця без вади.	23 if later on he learns of the sin he committed, he shall bring as his offering an unblemished male goat.
24 Він покладе руку на голову козлові та й заріже його там, де ріжуть жертву всепалення перед Господом: це жертва за гріх.	24 Having laid his hands on its head, he shall slaughter the goat as a sin offering before the LORD, in the place where the holocausts are slaughtered.
25 Священик візьме на палець трохи крови з жертви за гріх і помастить роги жертовника всепалення, а кров його виллє до підніжка жертовника всепалення.	25 The priest shall then take some of the blood of the sin offering on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of holocausts. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of this altar.
26 Тук же його воскурить увесь на жертовнику як тук мирної жертви. Так зробить священик покуту за його гріх, і проститься йому.	26 All of the fat he shall burn on the altar like the fat of the peace offering. Thus the priest shall make atonement for the prince's sin, and it will be forgiven.
27 Коли ж хтось із простого люду ненароком ізгрішить і сподіє щось, чого не годиться робити, що забороняють Господні заповіді, та й провиниться,	27 "If a private person commits a sin inadvertently by doing one of the things which are forbidden by the commandments of the LORD, and thus becomes guilty,
28 і як стане свідомим гріха, що ним ізгрішив, — має принести в жертву козу без вади, самицю, за гріх, що ним згрішив.	28 should he later on learn of the sin he committed, he shall bring an unblemished she-goat as the offering for his sin.
29 Він покладе руку на голову жертви за гріх та й заріже її на місці всепалення,	29 Having laid his hand on the head of the sin offering, he shall slaughter it at the place of the holocausts.
30 а священик візьме пальцем її крови та й помастить роги жертовника всепалення, всю решту ж крови виллє до підніжка жертовника всепалення.	30 The priest shall then take some of its blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of holocausts. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.
31 Він вийме з неї увесь тук, як то виймається в мирної жертви, і священик воскурить його на жертовнику як приємний запах для Господа. Так зробить священик покуту за нього, й проститься йому.	31 All the fat shall be removed, just as the fat is removed from the peace offering, and the priest shall burn it on the altar for an odor pleasing to the LORD. Thus the priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.
32 Якщо принесе в жертву за гріх ягня, то нехай принесе самичку без вади.	32 "If, however, for his sin offering he presents a lamb, he shall bring an unblemished female.
33 Він покладе руку на голову жертви за гріх та й заріже її в покуту на місці, де ріжуть жертву всепалення;	33 Having laid his hand on its head, he shall slaughter this sin offering in the place where the holocausts are slaughtered.
34 священик же візьме пальцем крови її та й помастить роги жертовника всепалення, всю решту ж її крови виллє до підніжка жертовника всепалення.	34 The priest shall then take some of the blood of the sin offering on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of holocausts. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.
35 Він вийме ввесь тук її, як виймається тук у ягняти мирної жертви, і священик воскурить його на жертовнику для жертв Господеві. Так зробить священик покуту за його гріх, що ним ізгрішив, і проститься йому.»	35 All the fat shall be removed, just as the fat is removed from the peace-offering lamb, and the priest shall burn it on the altar with the other oblations of the LORD. Thus the priest shall make atonement for the man's sin, and it will be forgiven.
