1 De Davi. Quando simulou alienação na presença de Abimelec e, despedido por ele, partiu. Bendirei continuamente ao Senhor, seu louvor não deixará meus lábios.	1 Of David, when he feigned madness before Abimelech, who forced him to depart.
2 Glorie-se a minha alma no Senhor; ouçam-me os humildes, e se alegrem.	2 I will bless the LORD at all times; praise shall be always in my mouth.
3 Glorificai comigo ao Senhor, juntos exaltemos o seu nome.	3 My soul will glory in the LORD that the poor may hear and be glad.
4 Procurei o Senhor e ele me atendeu, livrou-me de todos os temores.	4 Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
5 Olhai para ele a fim de vos alegrardes, e não se cobrir de vergonha o vosso rosto.	5 I sought the LORD, who answered me, delivered me from all my fears.
6 Vede, este miserável clamou e o Senhor o ouviu, de todas as angústias o livrou.	6 Look to God that you may be radiant with joy and your faces may not blush for shame.
7 O anjo do Senhor acampa em redor dos que o temem, e os salva.	7 In my misfortune I called, the LORD heard and saved me from all distress.
8 Provai e vede como o Senhor é bom, feliz o homem que se refugia junto dele.	8 The angel of the LORD, who encamps with them, delivers all who fear God.
9 Reverenciai o Senhor, vós, seus fiéis, porque nada falta àqueles que o temem.	9 Learn to savor how good the LORD is; happy are those who take refuge in him.
10 Os poderosos empobrecem e passam fome, mas aos que buscam o Senhor nada lhes falta.	10 Fear the LORD, you holy ones; nothing is lacking to those who fear him.
11 Vinde, meus filhos, ouvi-me: eu vos ensinarei o temor do Senhor.	11 The powerful grow poor and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
12 Qual é o homem que ama a vida, e deseja longos dias para gozar de felicidade?	12 Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
13 Guarda tua língua do mal, e teus lábios das palavras enganosas.	13 Who among you loves life, takes delight in prosperous days?
14 Aparta-te do mal e faze o bem, busca a paz e vai ao seu encalço.	14 Keep your tongue from evil, your lips from speaking lies.
15 Os olhos do Senhor estão voltados para os justos, e seus ouvidos atentos aos seus clamores.	15 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
16 O Senhor volta a sua face irritada contra os que fazem o mal, para apagar da terra a lembrança deles.	16 The LORD has eyes for the just and ears for their cry.
17 Apenas clamaram os justos, o Senhor os atendeu e os livrou de todas as suas angústias.	17 The LORD'S face is against evildoers to wipe out their memory from the earth.
18 O Senhor está perto dos contritos de coração, e salva os que têm o espírito abatido.	18 When the just cry out, the LORD hears and rescues them from all distress.
19 São numerosas as tribulações do justo, mas de todas o livra o Senhor.	19 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, saves those whose spirit is crushed.
20 Ele protege cada um de seus ossos, nem um só deles será quebrado.	20 Many are the troubles of the just, but the LORD delivers from them all.
21 A malícia do ímpio o leva à morte, e os que odeiam o justo serão castigados.	21 God watches over all their bones; not a one shall be broken.
22 O Senhor livra a alma de seus servos; não será punido quem a ele se acolhe.	22 Evil will slay the wicked; those who hate the just are condemned.
	23 The LORD redeems loyal servants; no one is condemned whose refuge is God.
