1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh.	1 No hay, pues, condena alguna para los que están en Cristo Jesús,
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death.	2 pues la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús te ha librado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.
3 For though this was impossible under the law, because it was weakened by the flesh, God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and because of sin, in order to condemn sin in the flesh,	3 Lo que era imposible a la ley, por cuanto que estaba debilitada a causa de la carne, lo ha hecho Dios: enviando a su Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado y en orden al pecado, condenó el pecado en la carne,
4 so that the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us. For we are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.	4 para que la justa exigencia de la ley se cumpliera en nosotros, los que actuamos no de acuerdo con la carne, sino de acuerdo con el Espíritu.
5 For those who are in agreement with the flesh are mindful of the things of the flesh. But those who are in agreement with the spirit are mindful of the things of the spirit.	5 Pues los que viven según la carne desean las cosas de la carne; en cambio, los que viven según el Espíritu, desean las cosas del Espíritu.
6 For the prudence of the flesh is death. But the prudence of the spirit is life and peace.	6 El deseo de la carne es muerte; en cambio el deseo del Espíritu, vida y paz.
7 And the wisdom of the flesh is inimical to God. For it is not subject to the law of God, nor can it be.	7 Por ello, el deseo de la carne es hostil a Dios, pues no se somete a la ley de Dios; ni puede someterse.
8 So those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.	8 Los que están en la carne no pueden agradar a Dios.
9 And you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if it is true that the Spirit of God lives within you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.	9 Pero vosotros no estáis en la carne, sino en el Espíritu, si es que el Espíritu de Dios habita en vosotros; en cambio, si alguien no posee el Espíritu de Cristo no es de Cristo.
10 But if Christ is within you, then the body is indeed dead, concerning sin, but the spirit truly lives, because of justification.	10 Pero si Cristo está en vosotros, el cuerpo está muerto por el pecado, pero el espíritu vive por la justicia.
11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead lives within you, then he who raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also enliven your mortal bodies, by means of his Spirit living within you.	11 Y si el Espíritu del que resucitó a Jesús de entre los muertos habita en vosotros, el que resucitó de entre los muertos a Cristo Jesús también dará vida a vuestros cuerpos mortales, por el mismo Espíritu que habita en vosotros.
12 Therefore, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, so as to live according to the flesh.	12 Así pues, hermanos, somos deudores, pero no de la carne para vivir según la carne.
13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die. But if, by the Spirit, you mortify the deeds of the flesh, you shall live.	13 Pues si vivís según la carne, moriréis; pero si con el Espíritu dais muerte a las obras del cuerpo, viviréis.
14 For all those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.	14 Cuantos se dejan llevar por el Espíritu de Dios, esos son hijos de Dios.
15 And you have not received, again, a spirit of servitude in fear, but you have received the Spirit of the adoption of sons, in whom we cry out: “Abba, Father!”	15 Pues no habéis recibido un espíritu de esclavitud, para recaer en el temor, sino que habéis recibido un Espíritu de hijos de adopción, en el que clamamos: «¡Abba, Padre!».
16 For the Spirit himself renders testimony to our spirit that we are the sons of God.	16 Ese mismo Espíritu da testimonio a nuestro espíritu de que somos hijos de Dios;
17 But if we are sons, then we are also heirs: certainly heirs of God, but also co-heirs with Christ, yet in such a way that, if we suffer with him, we shall also be glorified with him.	17 y, si hijos, también herederos; herederos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo; de modo que, si sufrimos con él, seremos también glorificados con él.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with that future glory which shall be revealed in us.	18 Pues considero que los sufrimientos de ahora no se pueden comparar con la gloria que un día se nos manifestará.
19 For the anticipation of the creature anticipates the revelation of the sons of God.	19 Porque la creación, expectante, está aguardando la manifestación de los hijos de Dios;
20 For the creature was made subject to emptiness, not willingly, but for the sake of the One who made it subject, unto hope.	20 en efecto, la creación fue sometida a la frustración, no por su voluntad, sino por aquel que la sometió, con la esperanza
21 For the creature itself shall also be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God.	21 de que la creación misma sería liberada de la esclavitud de la corrupción, para entrar en la gloriosa libertad de los hijos de Dios.
22 For we know that every creature groans inwardly, as if giving birth, even until now;	22 Porque sabemos que hasta hoy toda la creación está gimiendo y sufre dolores de parto.
23 and not only these, but also ourselves, since we hold the first-fruits of the Spirit. For we also groan within ourselves, anticipating our adoption as the sons of God, and the redemption of our body.	23 Y no solo eso, sino que también nosotros, que poseemos las primicias del Espíritu, gemimos en nuestro interior, aguardando la adopción filial, la redención de nuestro cuerpo.
24 For we have been saved by hope. But a hope which is seen is not hope. For when a man sees something, why would he hope?	24 Pues hemos sido salvados en esperanza. Y una esperanza que se ve, no es esperanza; efectivamente, ¿cómo va a esperar uno algo que ve?
25 But since we hope for what we do not see, we wait with patience.	25 Pero si esperamos lo que no vemos, aguardamos con perseverancia.
26 And similarly, the Spirit also helps our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself asks on our behalf with ineffable sighing.	26 Del mismo modo, el Espíritu acude en ayuda de nuestra debilidad, pues nosotros no sabemos pedir como conviene; pero el Espíritu mismo intercede por nosotros con gemidos inefables.
27 And he who examines hearts knows what the Spirit seeks, because he asks on behalf of the saints in accordance with God.	27 Y el que escruta los corazones sabe cuál es el deseo del Espíritu, y que su intercesión por los santos es según Dios.
28 And we know that, for those who love God, all things work together unto good, for those who, in accordance with his purpose, are called to be saints.	28 Por otra parte, sabemos que a los que aman a Dios todo les sirve para el bien; a los cuales ha llamado conforme a su designio.
29 For those whom he foreknew, he also predestinated, in conformity with the image of his Son, so that he might be the Firstborn among many brothers.	29 Porque a los que había conocido de antemano los predestinó a reproducir la imagen de su Hijo, para que él fuera el primogénito entre muchos hermanos.
30 And those whom he predestinated, he also called. And those whom he called, he also justified. And those whom he justified, he also glorified.	30 Y a los que predestinó, los llamó; a los que llamó, los justificó; a los que justificó, los glorificó.
31 So, what should we say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?	31 Después de esto, ¿qué diremos? Si Dios está con nosotros, ¿quién estará contra nosotros?
32 He who did not spare even his own Son, but handed him over for the sake of us all, how could he not also, with him, have given us all things?	32 El que no se reservó a su propio Hijo, sino que lo entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos dará todo con él?
33 Who will make an accusation against the elect of God? God is the One who justifies;	33 ¿Quién acusará a los elegidos de Dios? Dios es el que justifica.
34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus who has died, and who has indeed also risen again, is at the right hand of God, and even now he intercedes for us.	34 ¿Quién condenará? ¿Acaso Cristo Jesús, que murió, más todavía, resucitó y está a la derecha de Dios y que además intercede por nosotros?
35 Then who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation? Or anguish? Or famine? Or nakedness? Or peril? Or persecution? Or the sword?	35 ¿Quién nos separará del amor de Cristo?, ¿la tribulación?, ¿la angustia?, ¿la persecución?, ¿el hambre?, ¿la desnudez?, ¿el peligro?, ¿la espada?;
36 For it is as it has been written: “For your sake, we are being put to death all day long. We are being treated like sheep for the slaughter.”	36 como está escrito: Por tu causa nos degüellan cada día, nos tratan como a ovejas de matanza.
37 But in all these things we overcome, because of him who has loved us.	37 Pero en todo esto vencemos de sobra gracias a aquel que nos ha amado.
38 For I am certain that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers, nor the present things, nor the future things, nor strength,	38 Pues estoy convencido de que ni muerte, ni vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni presente, ni futuro, ni potencias,
39 nor the heights, nor the depths, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 ni altura, ni profundidad, ni ninguna otra criatura podrá separarnos del amor de Dios manifestado en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor.
