Psalms 96

1 This is to David, when his land was restored to him. The Lord has reigned, let the earth exult. Let the many islands rejoice.	1 Fece questo salmo David, quando la sua terra li fu restituita. Il Signore ha regnato, rallegrasi la terra; si. rallegraranno le molte insule.
2 Clouds and mist are all around him. Justice and judgment are corrections from his throne.	2 Intorno a lui è la nube e oscurità; la giustizia e giudicio saranno castigamento della sua sedia.
3 A fire will precede him, and it will enflame his enemies all around.	3 Dinanzi a lui andarà il fuoco, e bruciarà li nemici suoi dintorno a lui.
4 His lightnings have enlightened the whole world. The earth saw, and it was shaken.	4 Risplendettero le fulgora sue al circuito della terra; vide la terra, e fu commossa.
5 The mountains flowed like wax before the face of the Lord, before the face of the Lord of all the earth.	5 Come cera si squagliorono li monti dalla faccia del Signore; dalla faccia del Signore ogni terra.
6 The heavens announced his justice, and all peoples saw his glory.	6 Raccontorono li cieli la giustizia sua; e videro tutti li popoli la gloria sua.
7 May all those who adore graven images be confounded, along with those who glory in their false images. All you his Angels: Adore him.	7 Siano confusi tutti che adorano gli idoli sculti, e coloro che si gloriano nelli falsi di suoi. Adoratelo tutti, voi angeli suoi.
8 Zion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Judah exulted because of your judgments, O Lord.	8 Sion hallo udito, ed è fatta lieta. E allegransi gli figliuoli di Giuda, o Signore, per gli giudicii tuoi.
9 For you are the Most High Lord over all the earth. You are greatly exalted above all gods.	9 Però che tu sei Altissimo Signore sopra ogni terra; molto se' esaltato sopra tutti li dii.
10 You who love the Lord: hate evil. The Lord watches over the souls of his holy ones. He will free them from the hand of the sinner.	10 Voi che amate il Signore, abbiate in odio il male; il Signore guarda le anime de' suoi santi; della mano del peccatore liberarà quelli.
11 The light has risen for the just, and joy for the upright of heart.	11 Nasciuta è la luce al giusto, e la letizia alli dritti del cuore.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you just ones, and confess to the memory of his sanctuary.	12 Rallegratevi, giusti, nel Signore; confessate alla memoria della santificazione sua.
