Psalms 96

1 This is to David, when his land was restored to him. The Lord has reigned, let the earth exult. Let the many islands rejoice.	1 Énekeljetek az Úrnak új éneket, énekeljetek az Úrnak minden földek!
2 Clouds and mist are all around him. Justice and judgment are corrections from his throne.	2 Énekeljetek az Úrnak, áldjátok nevét, hirdessétek napról-napra szabadítását!
3 A fire will precede him, and it will enflame his enemies all around.	3 Hirdessétek dicsőségét a nemzetek között, csodatetteit minden népnek!
4 His lightnings have enlightened the whole world. The earth saw, and it was shaken.	4 Mert nagy az Úr, méltó a dicséretre, minden istennél félelmetesebb.
5 The mountains flowed like wax before the face of the Lord, before the face of the Lord of all the earth.	5 Mert a nemzetek istenei mind csak hamis istenek, az Úr azonban egeket alkotott.
6 The heavens announced his justice, and all peoples saw his glory.	6 Színe előtt fenség van és szépség, szentélyében ékesség és hatalom.
7 May all those who adore graven images be confounded, along with those who glory in their false images. All you his Angels: Adore him.	7 Ünnepeljétek az Urat, népek családjai, ünnepeljétek az Úr dicsőségét és hatalmát.
8 Zion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Judah exulted because of your judgments, O Lord.	8 Adjátok meg az Úr nevének a dicsőséget, hozzatok áldozati ajándékokat és jöjjetek udvaraiba.
9 For you are the Most High Lord over all the earth. You are greatly exalted above all gods.	9 Boruljatok le szent pompával az Úr előtt, rettegjen előtte az egész föld!
10 You who love the Lord: hate evil. The Lord watches over the souls of his holy ones. He will free them from the hand of the sinner.	10 Hirdessétek a nemzetek közt: »Király az Úr!« Megerősítette a föld kerekségét, hogy ne ingadozzék, s igazságosan ítéli a népeket.
11 The light has risen for the just, and joy for the upright of heart.	11 Örvendjenek az egek, ujjongjon a föld, zúgjon a tenger s ami betölti azt;
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you just ones, and confess to the memory of his sanctuary.	12 Vigadjanak a mezők és minden, ami rajtuk van! Ujjongjon akkor az erdő minden fája
	13 az Úr előtt, mert eljön, eljön hogy megítélje a földet. Igazságban ítéli meg a föld kerekségét, s a népeket hűsége szerint.
